We all know that HS football is king on the 3ADL but what about after it's done? Basically this is between Boys/Girls Basketball and Baseball/Softball. Even though LW has won two state boys basketball championships in the past, baseball currently gets way more success/attention/emphasis than hoops. Same goes for the softball program. How does your school lean: Gyms or Diamonds?

who really knows......it's hard to say.........school used to have a great tradition with girls basketball.........but not lately....kinda of sad..........since my daughter is going through the system now... think it's sad that more emphasis going toward v-ball.......which my daughter plays also....(as far as girls sports i favor b-ball)..........now the program that amazes me at my daughter's school is track both boys and girls........the coaches are incredible, numbers are impressive and the motativation the kids have is awesome............which give us a great tradition.

I would say basketball has a bigger following in Greenwood than baseball does.

That Country Club must have a gym in it as well because I know for a fact that you have had recent successes in boys basketball:p ;)

I figured it would be the swim team, wrestling team, gymnastics
team, or lacrosse team that would garner most of the attention
at Wylie.

Basketball by far has been the most successful, although, football draws more attention. But, that is typical of football. (i.e. football stadiums has way more seating. This is true on the high school, college, and pro levels.)

- team tennis has 4 state championships in the past 5 years
- individual tennis has 4 or 5 individual titles and numerous other qualifers for state
- boys individual medalist in golf (recently)

Golf has dropped off in the past few years at Wylie...but before that both teams had a streak of 10+ years at state...

maybe...but even though football wasn't very successful this year there still was a good amount of people...itll probably be even...just football allows for more people to come because of more seating

Speaking of Pirate Field i wish they would make better seating. After a very successful program i think they should make a better field. mainly the stands

Don't plan too far into the future. I've already started to recruit
Liberty Hill football players today. Tomorrow it's Sinton baseball
