Frank Gore is the closest thing to Marshall Faulk that he's had in years, but is Alex Smith a run-and-gun QB???

IMO Gore is nothing like Faulk..Jones in Detroit was more a Faulk style than Gore is

And Smith is a good fit for the offense...Martz's O is more about short routes and getting rid of the ball quickly

This is a good pickup for San Francisco. Their offense this past season was just horrible. I'm still not sold on Alex Smith, but a change in offensive coordinators might be what he needs. Only time will tell.

I kinda wish Dallas would have got him because I think Jason Garrett will take a head coaching job somewhere after the season is over.
