I prefer keeping your mouth shut in these situations. Teams like Pittsburgh were sent crawling home with their tails between their legs after talking their smack about the Patriots. Jacksonville should just be quiet and stay focused on the tall task ahead of them.

Exactly my point. If you end up losing the game you look like the weaker line, but if you talk smack and end up losing, you look like a sick puppy AND the weaker link. The Jags are going to have to drastically win the TOP battle in this game by about 35/25 or better to have a chance.

You know, I remember Jimmy Johnson guaranteeing a very young Cowboys team a postseason win against the mighty 49ers, and not many people thought he'd get it. I know I was horrified that it would be used as locker room motivation in San Fran. And somehow (perhaps putting that psychiatry degree to use?) Jimmy managed to get in their heads, and we beat them pretty convincingly. If you know how to play the game right, talking smack can sometimes get you somewhere.

(I should note that I absolutely hate talking smack at the high school level.)
