I agree with the cheerleader part. Does anyone notice where
they have to put their hands when doing some of the stunts?

As far as the twirlers. I don't think we have to worry about them
having kids.

Here you go Rocket fans!Calvin Murphy was born on May 9, 1948 in Norwalk, CT. It was here, where Calvin would grow up. Calvin began playing basketball at an early age. He was also a National Baton Twirling Champion. (http://www.nba.com/history/players/murphey_bio.html) Murphy eventually gave up baton twirling however to become one of the most famous basketball players from the state of Connecticut.

A 1966 graduate from Norwalk High School, Calvin was a two time high school All American and a three time All State Selection. Calvin was also elected to the Connecticut Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Even though he received a total of 235 scholarship offers, Calvin chose to attend Niagara University. At Niagara, Murphy would become a three time All American. He scored 2,548 total points in three seasons at Niagara. He scored over thirty points in 42 out of 77 games and scored over fifty points in six games. Despite all of these fabulous accomplishments, NBA scouts were still reluctant to draft Calvin. Calvin Murphy put up big numbers, but he was not a big player. He was 5’ 9” and weighed only 165 pounds. As the first pick of the second round draft by the San Diego Rockets in 1970, Murphy would become one of the smallest players in the NBA. Calvin would spend all of his thirteen seasons with the Rockets Organization, playing in over 1000 games, scoring 17,949 points and 4,402 assists. Murphy had eleven 1000 point seasons. Murphy was named to the 1971 All rookie team and was a 1979 NBA All Star. He also played in a total of 51 playoff games. Calvin Murphy became one of only three Rockets players to have his number retired. (http://www.nba.com/history/players/murphey_bio.html, http://www.hoophall.com/halloffamers.MurphyCalvin.htm)

Calvin was inducted into the Basketball Hall of fame in 1993. Today he still works as a commentator for the Houston Rockets Organization and was used as the color commentator for the PlayStation NBA Live 2003 video game. We do have all-male yell leaders. I think it's a stupid tradition, personally. We do have a Dance Team at the basketball games, which is nice, but I would like to have them at the football games also.

Be careful BBDE, that sort of progressive thinking might get you excommunicated from the church of A&M.
