VERNON — The Vernon Lions warmed up for the District 6-3A season with a lot of running on Monday. One-hundred points’ worth of it.

Vernon also exacted some revenge for its only regular-season football loss with a 100-68 victory over Clyde on Monday.

Donovan Wilkinson led the Lions in double figures with 21 points, followed by Kyle Campsey (19), Demetrias Murray (17), Winston Jones (14) and Ray Daniels (11).

Vernon (10-8) scored 53 points in the first half and got to 70 by the end of the third. A 30-point fourth gave the Lions an even 100.

Vernon plays host to Hirschi on Friday night.
