MVP

Francisco Jaquez
RB, Fort Stockton
5-10, 170, Jr.
The Fort Stockton Panthers won their first outright district title since 1978, and Jaquez was a big reason why. The junior picked up 1,948 yards this season on 215 carries even though he didn't play the second half of many games. He scored 26 touchdowns for Fort Stockton and had a 9.1 yards-per-carry average. Small in stature at 5-10, 170 pounds, Jaquez was slippery. It sometimes took a gang of defenders to bring him down.

Coach of the Year
Blaine Springston
Andrews
In his final year with the Mustangs, coach Blaine Springston guided Andrews to its second deep playoff run in as many years. The Mustangs didn't lose a game until the seventh week of the season and went three rounds deep in the playoffs before falling to Abilene Wylie.

The thing I don't get is Jaquez didn't even rush for 2,000 yards and will clay rushed for over 2,000, not counting the playoffs, and Jaquez is still mvp??
