An outstanding day indeed as it starts off at 4:40 A.M. with Judge Priest made in 1934. This movie takes place in the 1890s and is more of a comedy family type movie than a western. It is recommended highly because you get to see the great Will Rogers as the Judge and see some of Will's humor. Hattie McDaniel who won the best supporting actress oscar as the maid in Gone with the Wind is also in this movie. Don't miss this one!
Also at 7 A.M. they are showing The Iron Sherriff made in 1954. This is a very good Sterling Hayden western.
At 12.00 P.M. they are showing Gunslinger (made in 1956) which stars Beverly Garland and John Ireland. This is a very good offbeat western.
The times may be inconvenient so you may want to set your recorders. Also the Encore Western Channel is repeating these movies several times during January so you can check the schedule to see other times if you wish.
