The only reason we made playoffs the past few years in football is from being in a very weak district. Our coach likes to schedule patsies in non-district to make them look good going in to district. I have heard him say this. It doesn't say much for our kids going into district with a 3-2 record, and those 2 losses were to 2A schools.

That is kind of the wrong direction If you jump in and play over your head to start at least you ge the feel for what will b e expected to continue upward later in the season .

You beat Robinson by less points this year and they had a way better qb last year. They couldn't do anything this year. Not that it would be any different, but I wish they would put you guys on our non-district schedule, scrimmage or something. Our kids need a challenge, not a bunch of " we should kill these guys" kind of teams. It gives them the big head and they end up losing any way.

That is true the whole district was pretty balanced. We would have matched up better with LaVega since they run more and we stop that much better than having to deal with spread stuff.

Had we not got a couple people hurt real early in the game our secondary would have had a bunch better day too. But Celina is what they are, they always figure out a way to win..sometimes it just aint pretty.

I watched Celina's tape against Robinson and the championship and I still can't figure that defense out. It's impressive to say the least. LV had a very good qb but for some reason their coaches almost always refused to pass the ball. Talent-wise there couldn't have been many if any teams better teams than LV. Their coaches really screwed up a wonderful opportunity to play in the ship

Thats true they completed 2 key passes, and had 347 yards total offense..-60 for th e passes and they were held lto half of what was their normal 400+ yards rushing.
