Has anyone read this book by Carlton Stowers? It's a good read about a struggling six-man football team from Penelope.

I like how he looks at football in Texas:
"Friday night football is rural America's answer to a big-city block party."

Never thought about it like that, but it does kind of fit. Great quote!

It really is a good read and I would recommend it for any true high school football fan. It highlights football in its purest form, in my opinion.

BBDE - I just bought this book for my son for Christmas! I look forward to reading it when he's done.

It was a gift from my oldest brother and sister-in-law for Christmas, and since I was in San Antonio from the 24th-30th for Christmas we celebrated New Years Day and Christmas yesterday at the same time. I started reading it a little last night and finished it up this afternoon when I couldn't find anything to watch, and it was a really good book, definitely one of my favorites.
