I know someone touched on this subject before. I got this email and thought that it summed up how I felt:

Here's another way to look at this. For actors in Hollwood to side with the enemy, they have to be buying into the "America is the root of all the world's evil" propaganda. They have to believe that America is inherently evil. Since America is YOU and I, they therefore have to believe that WE are inherently evil.
What amazes me is that if we truly were that evil, people like Sean Penn and Martin Sheen and the rest wouldn't be ALLOWED to say so. Why can't they see this basic reality? Sheen's current claim to fame is I'm not an American President, but I play one on TV. . Sorry Marty, it isn't the same. And, I won't be a witness to it ever again. Apparently the film industry can't keep these people busy enough. I personally don't CARE what their view of international politics is. I suspect they have already begun to FORGET the images of 9/11. I for one will NEVER forget those images. I will, however, forget that I ever enjoyed any of their entertainment efforts and vow NEVER to do so again. It won't be that hard for me, I've never been an avid moviegoer anyway, and I've always known that actors engage in make-believe. A whole generation of us have looked to them for entertainment and temporary release from the everyday pressures of life, and have made them richer than their wildest dreams in doing so. This is a free country, and they can say anything they want anywhere, but they should remember, I'm free to make MY own choices about where and how I spend my money.

Amen and Amen Sinton66 (and Charlie Daniels). I did go see "Tears of the Sun", the new Bruce Willis movie. Great film. It's ironic that it conveys the message that the good guys do what's right, even if it's "not our fight". Maybe that's why all the critics bashed the film. It seems to go against their current philosophy of not getting involved. We could just wait and see what Saddam will do with his biological warfare weapons and his soon to be acquired nukes. Gee, I wonder who he will use them on. Maybe President Bush can arrange a deal that we won't attack this time, but if Saddam does attack, he should target Hollywood first. No, that wouldn't work--then they'd bitch about the government's inability to defend the nation.

This may cost me a star with this viewpoint yet if it does I don't care. We mustn't let Hollywood do our thinking and need to avoid how goes California so goes the nation. It is to our discredit that Honoi Jane has been honorned with much income from us and even been awarded oscars. I have talked to Vietnam veterans (I admit I didn't serve because I happened to have got a high lottery number in 1969 but that was the draw case and I DID NOT burn my draft card) and ever Vietnam veteran considers her a traitor like the man we convicted recently for being with the enemy in Afganistan. And what happened to our Vietnam Veterans after they got home? Remember on tv and movies how the Vietnam Veterans were mostly stereotyped as psychopaths, drug addits, and criminals. Also, Hollywood distorts history. If you watched Mash on tv or other movies they make it out that Truman was a hero and General Douglas MacArthur (sorry if misspelled) was a villian in Korea yet at the time people were so outraged that they booed Truman at a baseball game. But only after time settled and people got over their outrage did Hollywood and the press pull it's tricks to make Truman the hero and MacArthur the villian (and who
was it that led us to victory over Japan in WW2 after we were attacked at Pearl Harbor? (Knock Knock! Hello!) And Hollywood is doing the same thing now that time has passed since September 11, 2001. And I say Hollywood and some of the press loosely because I know that not all viewpoints there or in California are all representative of this but we still have to be on guard.
