I've driven under that a few times, but I had no idea it was the world's largest McD's. I'll have to stop and eat next time.

I think that McDonald's is part of one of my favorite songs, Choctaw Bingo written by James McMurtry:

"called from that big McDonald's... you know that one that's built upon that... great big ole bridge across the Will Rogers Turnpike.. took the big cabin exit, stopped and bought a carton of cigarettes"

back in the day ( late 80's and early 90's) this McDonalds was a cool place. Had little shops and stuff in it. I went through it back in June and it was a trash hole. The floors hadnt been cleaned in weeks and it just smells like it hasnt been taken care of. I was disappointed in what it has become.

I've been there back in the 80's....man I'm getting old.

Hey Dallas people, where is the McDonald's that is shaped like a happy meal? My kids saw that on TV and now they want to go.

First over the turnpike restaurant I ever saw was in the Chicago area. It's been there many years.

From the sound of things...the McDonald's in Beijing and Moscow are bigger restaurants. All 3 properties are around 28k sq ft...but the others can seat 700+ while the Ok location lists capacity of 300.

I'm with Sinton66, the one in Chicago has been there since the early 70's. Remember it well. Same set up as the one in Oklahoma, looks exactly the same.. A lot of you have probably seen the Chicago one and never known it. If you've ever seen the Blues Brothers movie, it's where Jake and Elroy almost get blown up in the phone both in the middle of the night while on their "mission from god".

As for the biggest? Doubt it.

This is also a glimpse of what we could see here in Texas if TxDOT has their way and the "trans corridors" come into existence...
