The Alaska Baseball League is probably the best kept secret in Baseball. Many of its graduates play in the Majors, such as Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Rich Aurelia and many many more. The teams are made up of college players from all over the USA and Canada

I have been lucky enough to be a photographer for the Peninsula Oilers in Kenai the past couple years and it has been a blast.

Sports Illustrated was up this year to do a feature story on the league, and a documentary is in progress "Touching The Game:Alaska" that should be very very good. A link to the trailer is on the below link. (Oilers Baseball)

The highlight of the league is the Midnight Sun game played in Fairbanks that starts at the stroke of Midnight, is played without lights and is never in jeapordy of darkness.
