Got some bad news today about my dad

He was suppose to start his chemo treatments on Dec 31

He went to hospital in Wharton after being disoriented and doctors thought it was an

infection from his staff which they put in his chest last week

after several tests and four days of waiting

found out today that his leukemia in his white blood cells were bad

Acute Myeloid Leukemia

He may not even able to handle any chemo treatements if they cant find a way to get his infectio down

He's at Herman Memorial Hospital in Southwest Houston

We will know more by Friday and now it's a waiting game

But doctor told us things dont look good

more prayers would be appreciated for our family

I've been there before with mom and dad. Both times was during December. All I can tell you is you really need to be strong if you are one of the leaders of the family. It doesn't matter how outwardly tough you seem to be it will really hurt when all comes to an end. For your peace of mind, find some quiet time to be with your loved ones and reassure them that you will really miss them but you will be OK. They are worried about their kids no matter how old they are. Try and put their minds at ease and help them deal with the matters at hand. If you need to ask for forgiveness for the past,do so. It will be easier on you later.
