I foresee an appearance on this thread by Sealy's "GOD" of a running back Emeal Andrus. :D

Seriously though, I agree, Jordan Shipley will most likely be the coverboy for 3A.

I could see McGee and Shipley both on the cover. Burnet will be strong this year.

Jordan's got my vote too.

You can go to DCTF site and find an address or phone and order an issue to be mailed early. Believe it is early July.

All I can say is their jersey numbers added up equal 15 (7 + 8)

Ozzy, then I assume McGee and Shipley will be this year's 3A Coverboys? It's been 11 years since Burnet had a 3A Coverboy, and as you know they were then coming off a State finals loss. They were a pre-season favorite to win it all and were upset by Sweeny 21-6 in the area round. I hope the Dawgs are able to do better this time around. We are looking forward to getting out there and supporting our beloved Burnet Bulldogs. Come on Zero Week!

info please!! :D You can usually get one at any Wal-Mart. All the Wally Worlds down here have special racks out in front of the magazine section reserved especially for "The Bible." If you want to check out some back issues I'd be willing to bet that if you peeked inside your AD's office he probably has the last 20 issues. They usually don't come out until midsummer, though.

Chris-

Who was the coverboy in 92? I'd like to see that. Also, look for a picture of Ty Kuhn in this year's edition.

Ozzy, My good friend Terry Kircus was the 92 Coverboy. We were fresh off a 7-0 loss to Groesbeck in the Championship in 91, and a pre-season favorite to win it all. He was one fourth of a four-headed monster that produced 4 1,000 plus yd. rushers in 91. Kircus was the leading gainer, carrying a 10 yd/carry avg. and 1943 yds, which is the school record. We returned alot of players in 92 including both halfbacks. We were leading Sweeny 6-0 in area since early in the game, when midway through the 4th, their coach decided to put in their backup QB, and the boy could flat out fly and move. He ran 3 long TD's in the last 8:00 and ended the season of a very talented, but over confident Burnet squad. We had won the district Championship on a point spread, after a tie against Marble Falls, who in turn went on to lose to Coldspring 32-29 in the semi's. Coldspring went on to lose the Championship to SLC ( a team we had ousted in 91) 48-0. SLC was amazing in 92!
