4 State Championships in a Row (98-01)
7 State Championships in 12 Years (95-07)
8 State Championship Games in 12 Years (95-07)
68 Wins in a Row (98-02)
25 Playoff Wins in a Row (98-02)
Since 1995, 53-6 in the Playoffs
1 District Loss in 10 Years (Since 95, 71-3 District Record)
1 Home Loss since 95
Last 10 Years - #1 in Wins (143-6)
Last 20 Years - #1 in Wins (244-27-1)
Last 30 Years - #1 in Wins (302-72-3)

**I think these stats should be accurate (Rixey or BillyFred may shed some light if incorrect)**

You son, are one to talk...please remember that week before we played you....thread after thread, posted by 325, about the "donkey stomp" coming Celina's way. And this past week, about 20 more threads about the "donkey stomp" coming Celina's way via CS. Well, well, it's all over now, and there are a few threads about the fact that neither "donkey stomp" took place. Endear it or endure it boy, because you asked for it before it ever even happened.

Sorry, not trying to over do it. Like I stated to begin the thread, I rarely post stats.

It was not done to disrespect others. Just information. While I do not post often, feel free to check my previous posts. I do not disrespect other teams/communities/programs.

I truly appreciate and respect the efforts and achievements of ALL the players and coaches from around the state.

For one thing I am NOT your son.

I was pulling for Celina until I started listening to the game, then I changed sides for some reason:thinking:

No you're not my son, my boy's smarter and plays for a better football team...

He also isn't double minded. He leaves the dance with the one he brought with him.

Is it really acid rain fella or are you just pissing in the wind again?

Who-dun-it!!?

Nothing disrespectful about your post in my mind. I'd be damn proud to be from Celina right now. I only hope when my youngins get to varsity level we're talkin bout them.

Ya'll better watch out for them lady tigers basketball/softball in the next 4 to six years!

Here's the new updated history... you also now have 7 undefeated seasons which is just one behind Southlake Carroll's record of 8

I don't know much about early football in Texas, but why did they win region and not go to a next round in the early 70's and late 60's?

Well, 325, seeing as how Celina has now won more state football championships than any other team that has ever played high school football in Texas,........... I'd say that deserves an extra thread or two. You can bet your Ar$e that if Snyder had won state you would be threading your Ar$e off. Get over it.

Prior to 1972 teams in the lowest classification only played two playoff games and that was it, so each year, multiple "Regional Champs" were named across the state. Starting in 1972 the UIL allowed all five 11-man classifications to play to a state title.

only one note, and this is one that is commonly cited incorrectly

Celina has won 7 titles from 1995-2007 (played in 8 games)

however, that was 13 seasons, not 12

also, you might as well include 1994 in your calculations, since they went 11-1 and that was the start of the consecutive 10-wins/playoff appearance streak

that way, the district record for 14 years is 76-3

Also, since 1965, Celina's AVERAGE record is 10-2
since 1994, the average record is better than 13-1

to me that is the most impressive stat

I've gone in to uncharted territory, researching the individual games during Celina's 5 year stint playing 6-man football from 1953-1957. I don't even know what the win-loss totals were for those seasons so I'll tack them on as I go through. So far, I've gotten through '56 and '57. If you count those 7 wins in the overall total it puts Celina over the 500 win mark....
I'll put up more later..

Okay, that's about as much of the 6-man history as I can piece together with the resources I currently have available. Still missing 9 of the games but the win-loss totals for each season listed ('53-'57) are correct.
