you really need to realize bobcat that i absolutly respect celina with everything that i have. Exactly! Celina's legacy has NOTHING to do with LH AT ALL! It's all about Celina.

As to what woulda, coulda, shoulda happened....you just never know. I mean literally, YOU just never know.

However, I know this...we lost LAST YEAR to LH by a field goal. All these 4602-0 predictions are ludicrous! Neither Celina nor LH could score like that, there aint enough quarters in the game.

Second point of fact, I don't play football at all no more, not for LH or Celina. Neither do you Blue. Therefore, neither of us knows with certainty what would happen on the field.

CT...I see it like this. The DL is a very cliquish community where everyone likes to feel all warm and fuzzy. Then you have your "class clowns" i.e. the smartasses that like to stir crap...etc. etc, and depending on who their "friends" are..they either get away w/ it and its dismissed as "(insert name here) is crazy..hes funny, that's just how he/she is, etc. etc. Then you have the ones that get banned for much less because they speak out, have no allegiance to anyone inparticular, and therefor have no allies in high places. With that...when someone/something challenges and/or upsets the balance of the "herd" mentality around here, people tend to get bent outa shape. It would appear to me that somehow Celina and their fans with their success this year pose some sort of threat to certain people and therefore you get what you are seeing this evening. A bunch of half jealousy, half "you're crowding in on my little world" name calling and mess. It's funny how some fans/teams w/ "friends" can toot their own horns, and boast, and when another team does so for accomplishing the same feat its viewed as boisterous, bragging, and unclassy. It has been said that neither one of your two teams faced much competition on their roads to the title. Could it be that the opponents were that bad?:( Or could it be that your teams were that good?:) I would probably say that both of your teams were that good. I only had the privilege of watching Liberty Hill play this year, twice, and I can say that they are THAT GOOD! I didn't get to see Celina play this year, but 112-5 in this decade, 16-0 this year says that they are THAT GOOD! We will never know what the outcome would be if they were to face each other for ultimate bragging rights. My gut feeling says that Liberty Hill would win, but that is only my opinion and thought, so it really doesn't matter at all.
For IHStangFan: I don't know why you have to categorize everybody like you did in your rant post. I agree with some of your thought, but I wasn't a bandwagoner, nor am I a bandwagoner of Liberty Hill. I am one of those people that got to see them play and fell in love with them, even while they stomped my alma mater in the matter of a single quarter of play. I am sure that if I saw Celina play, I would speak volumes of them, too. And in regards to how everybody cliques together with protection from "higher ups" I would offer this: How many fans do we actually have representing all of the teams in this state? There are more schools in 3A UNREPRESENTED by ANYBODY on the DL than there are REPRESENTED! It just so happens that the successful teams' fans always find their way onto the board, because success breeds buzz.

Besides, everybody knows already that there are only two categories of people on the downlow:
Snyder Fans and non Snyder fans;)

You know, my husband and I were talking about this the other day. He brought up our "level of competition" in the playoffs. If I had talked about how good we were at the beginning of the season, I would've been laughed at and called a homer. (So shoot me, I'm a homer.) It is my honest opinion that NONE of the teams we played were bad, in fact, were good teams with some very talented and special players and coaches. It is also my opinion that we were THAT good, that the competition appeared to be less than they truly were.

For all the "playoff cake walk" talk. Give me a break! The team we played with the worst record came in at 6-4. That same "cake walk" team played the DII state champs within 13 and the DII runner-up within 6. Teams with RB's with 2000 yds - held to 46, held to 44, teams with QB's with 2500 yds passing - held to 122. Hell, any kid that can rush for 2000 yards in a district with the likes of Giddings, Caldwell, Bellville & La Grange is NOT playing on a bad team. But let's belittle the accomplishments of EVERY team that played in the Division I playoff bracket if others can feel better about it. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I think the people that are so SURE probably saw LH play this year. You'd have to have seen them to understand. Schedules, scores, etc can only provide so much "insight" to a team and do not always reflect what happened in a game.

Some of those other posters that have said one way or the other what they think would happen if these two played each other have probably never seen either team play!

The point is ---- IT DOESN'T MATTER!!! These two will never play THIS YEAR!! For some to say that either team should count their blessings that LH went DI is flat out STUPID! LH had no control over what division they went to. You want to blame someone - blame Hutto & Taylor for having bad years!

Both teams beat who they needed to beat to win their respective divisions! Congrats to both sets of teams on their impressive seasons & to their coaching staffs!!

I really wish some of you would just drop it, but I've come to realize that some of you aren't happy unless you are beating that poor horse....what did he ever do to you???
