Is district 17-3A by far the strongest?

Even if China Spring loses today, has there recently been a better district in 3A than 17? Robinson should have won the DI championship last year, CS is playing for the DII ship today, and La Vega could very easily be in that same spot. Connally, who lost to the 3 aforementioned teams, could have won a number of districts this year. And well, Lorena and Gatesville are pretty weak, but those top three teams are probably enough to push 17-3A to the top.

The top 4 teams in this district all could have won region 4 D1 and possibly D2

Hutto - State Finalist, Lost to Tatum
Cameron - Lost in regional final to Hutto
Giddings - Lost to WO-S in 3rd round of D1

the 2a district with tatum was better this year. Tatum went to d1 finals EF is in the D2 title game today and Arp lost to EF in the quarters

After realignment I see this district changing. Robinson, along with China Spring now, suffer from the same problem, no qb. Now that Eskew will be gone, I don't see China doing much. Gatesville has fallen off in recent years, but they have a very young team so they might turn things around. LV returns all but 10 seniors and could make a run, it's just one of those wait and see things. And of course you neve know when Connally is going to show up to play.
