Well since this one is gonna get filled up fast with everyone let me be the first and probably only one to predict Whitney over Ft.Worth Carter by a field goal. :-)

It's way to early to tell so much can still happen. That said, Jasper Div 1 and Newton Div 2. Jasper has alot of depth and Newton has a quick defense. Let's wait about 7 more weeks and ask this question again.

Taft over Carthage in a high octane game. 59-52 sounds reasonable to me.

This should be the year of Jasper.

Ok ill be serious this time. I think Div I will be a repeat between Everman and Sinton and Div II Bridgeport vs Newton. Im not quite ready to predict the winners.

Everman vs. Jasper (Everman)

Longview Spring Hill vs. LaGrange (Spring Hill)

Newton is the only one who, in my opinion, has a shot to defeat Jasper. NOBODY has a shot to defeat Everman, except for the Dallas Cowboys.

In Division II, it's a guess, but I like my choices.

Hehe, I'll take EOTT's cue and be serious here.
First, div. 1, Everman,Everman,Everman! Since this is still so very early, they look the strongest and are the defending champs. I might change my mind later but there is little argument on who is established here!
Second, div. 2, this is the toss-up division. Newton looks to be among the strongest with many quality teams in reg. 3 including a stronger than anticipated (not on my part) Bellville team. This one is gonna be hard to predict.

What? 10 posts, and no Burnet fans proclaiming themselves the best in the state.
Amazing

If Jasper's gonna get the proverbial monkey off its back, this is the year. Newton is a good choice in D2. Jasper and Newton lock horns on 10/18. Anyone who can should make the drive (or flight in my case) to see that one.

92 here is my early take on the Jasper- Newton game: Newton wins by a small margin or we get blown out.

I think you could be right. I think Jasper can outrun Newton's defense enough to score points on them, but the key is whether the Dogs can stop Newton's running game. If they can, the Eagle defense will be on the field an awful lot and it could very well be a long night for Newton. I expect a close game, though. I'm sure there will be some great discussion during that week. Good luck against Bridge City. You'll need it...

Those are some pretty big words Donkey considering the company you keep in the Great State of Texas :-)

I'll back that up...
Region IV, as a bunch of teams (fans) here can attest too, is going up! Burnet, Sinton, Edna, Mathis, Bandera, Luling, Rice, Sweeny, Wharton, Yoakum, Gonzales (just to name a few, in no particular order) could be prime representatives come December. Our region has been a doormat, too long. That is gonna end soon...
It might not be the most talented (reg. 3, look at all the pro players from there) or competitive (reg. 3 and 2), but it is in the process of getting there!
