What does it mean to slow down another team's offense? Do you look at point total? Do you look at yardage? Do you look at both? Something else?

but you have to look at it compared with their average output in other games

of course, level of competition should also be looked at

gaining 400 yards and 40 points against Giddings would be more indicative than a 400 yard, 40 point output against Tarkington or Tornillo
