Main thing is just to see if it's working okay for me.

My school is 4A now but I have no doubt we'll be 3A after the reclassifications come out.

Yes, he had shoulder surgery during the off season and only got to play the last two games of the year. He's still planning on signing with OU dangit.

We had an awful season this year. We were picked by everyone to finish in top two in district and didn't win a district game. We had so many key injuries and the coach ended up dismissing about 10 or 12 players from the team because of discipiline problems.

We're the wildcats, our colors are blue (navy) and white. We ran out of spread last couple of years but after our disappointing season not sure what will happen next year.

PARIS!!!! Welcome to the board.

i don't now if your old enough to remember this but I witnessed what I still think is the greatest comeback in the history of football by the Paris Wildcats in Texas stadium. I don't remember the year but it was in the mid 90's I think.

What 3A district is likely to inherit the Wildcats?

It's true there are far fewer posters on the 4A site, but there's also far less whining and bellyaching over there too.

I know some of our "ejected posters" say that is what is wrong with this board!!!:hand:

Key word there is "ejected poster". Since most of our moderators are women, that's the easiest knee jerk reaction.

I think you gals give this board a broad veriety of perspectives.

Call me a suck up if you want:D I'll admit it:)

I'm not sure which direction we will go. We're kind of away from either one so we could go toward some of the east texas teams or might go toward Bonham, Commerce, and back that way.

I remember when they played in Texas Stadium back when we had good teams. You may be thinking of the Denison game in the state semi finals. We won that one and went on to beat West Orange Stark in finals. I think that was in 1988.

I don't remember the team, but I don't think it was Denison. I do remember the other team scoring about four TD in the final five minutes while recovering three or four onside kicks in a row. They took the lead with about 6 sec. left. After giving up something like a 28+/- point lead in the final five or six minutes. Paris ran the kickoff back for a TD with no time left on the clock to win the game. It was unbelievable. I don't know if it was the quater's or semi's.

I don't know but that sounds like the John Tyler / Plano East game of '94. Maybe you're confusing the two. Here is a youtube link to that game. Listen to the announcers, they are hilarious.

Now I know where I was making the connection:thinking: Alan Wilson is a friend of mine and he was the coach at John Tyler during that game. Wilson was also the coach a Paris I beleive when they won the state championship if I'm not mistaken.:D

Yes, I think he is talking about the JohnTyler game. We played in Texas Stadium a few times in the 80s but had no games like that. All of ours we won pretty easily.

Yes, he left for John Tyler right after we won state. He's a heck of a coach and had some great assistants, especially coach Clapp.

The last I heard, Alan Wilson was coaching at Dallas Carter. I think he's still there.

He's still at Dallas Carter and does a great job every year. They just can't seem to get past those East Texas teams though.
