Forney vs. Everman
Probably at Texas Stadium
Jasper vs. Burnet
Probably at the Dome
4 great teams here, I don't think the rankings are going to decide these 2 contests either.
The Championship is pretty much up for grabs at this point. All 4 teams have been some what involved in the championship games the past 2 years. Everman is coming back from their state championship this year looking to repeat, Everman a team that came down from 4A in 2000, is looking to beat a very spread Forney Team. Forney played in the Div. 2 championship 2 years ago, lost 20-17 to Tye Gunn and La Grange, and last year lost to state champion Everman the team who they are facing next. Then you have Burnet, who has just improved amzingly over the past two years. And Finally you have Jasper, who like Everman dropped down to 3a..Jasper a good team in 4a lost to Bay City last year in the 4a Div. 2 Reg. 3 final (Bay City lost to Ennis in the state game). That being said tells you that Jasper was good in 4a, and this year Jasper has shown they are just as good in 3a. Jasper has outscored their opponents in the playoffs 350+ to zero.
All 4 of teams are state championship teams, it's just a matter of who wants it more and a matter of who can make the right decsions and pull through in the end.
