My friend bought a Wii when they came out and I wasn't impressed at all.

I bought "Rock Star" for PS3 and it's great, haven't got to play it but a couple of times but it's cool from what ive done

Wii's are overrated...I bought one a year ago and got bored of it within a month. Sold it on ebay :D

Call of Duty 4 is the best multiplayer game out, great single player to. If you are to cheap to go online, bioshock got game of the year.

Call of Duty is the best game, hands down

Mass Effect is a great quasi-RPG with shooting elements, but i'd say Bioshock is better overall

Assassin's Creed or Ace Combat 6 are good to rent, not to own

and of course Halo 3 is great

but

if you were going to get one game, get Call of Duty 4

if two, get Bioshock

if you don't like shooters, get NCAA 2008 or Elder Scrolls

plus you could pay half-price or less and get Halo 2 (still lots of players online), Call of Duty 2, Rainbow Six Vegas, and any sports game that isn't from the 2008 group

I bought a wii the day after Thanksgiving and love it! I just wish there was a hockey game for it...

I have never seen one in any store except for the day I bought it, and they're selling for around $600 a pop on eBay (plus they have free online play as opposed to Xbox which I will begin enjoying this week once I get Fios installed).
