LH's defense came to play. Gilmer's coaches are about to lose this game for them, how stupid can you be to go for it in your own territory 2 drives in a row when your playing against a team your prolly not gonna stop much defensively and you give them a short field. stupid.......

Unfamiliarity with the wing-t. Still think they can stop it.

Kudos to the LH offense, but I'd say continuing to go for two from the eight after a 5-yard penalty is not all that smart a call either.

yeah...stupid of Gilmer coaches...this isn't a district game...it's the state title game...not sure if they realize this. I'm fixing to switch over to the Celina/Snyder game perhaps.

yeah unless something drastically changes in Gilmers favor, this game is about to get out of hand, I know it early, but they wont be able to stop LH very much if any at all and if they get to far behind they wont be able to catch up......

I wouldn't say they "shut them down" They did get a stop...but they're gettin one stop to every 2nd-3rd LH TD? That isn't gonna get it done and its DEFINATELY not shutting ANYONE down. For now, it appears Gilmer has only put a band-aide on a bullet wound.

If you stop the wing-t three times out of ten, you still lose unless your offense can keep up.

is embarrasing themselves. That quarterback sucks. They need to put someone else in there. Maybe there's a cheerleader that can hang on to the ball. I can't believe Gilmer is undefeated.

this is an unbiased opinion here, But a couple of questions and thoughts... 1) How in the HELL is Gilmer undefeated? 2) Gilmers QB and RB got way to much hype for this performance 3) LH's secondary I still think is average at best and Gilmers passing attack cannot exploit it? 4) IMO LH will come out, score quickly on their first drive of the 2nd half and run away with this one, my precition 52-21 LH.

As I stated before, LH is playing in a league of their own.

Aesculus gilmus
12-15-2007, 06:11 PM
LH is dominating on both sides of the ball. Both teams have a turnover, so that's a wash.

Gilmer has been down at the half before, though, and has been behind in every game in the playoffs at some point, although never by this much.

Still, the coaching staff for Gilmer makes better halftime adjustments than any I've ever seen. It has to be translated into action on the field, though.

Maybe easier saying what needs adjusting than doing it.

Good luck to Gilmer. I was expected a closer game. Maybe they will come out in the second half to make this game a little more competitive.

Boy I tell ya, LH runs the hell outta that Wing T.

Gobbla2001
12-15-2007, 06:14 PM
I think it is unfair to ask "why is gilmer undefeated" etc... There is one thing about playing LH that every team in the state will face and that's that you have never faced an offense like it... plus you have to give LH's D some credit, they have played extremely well this year vs. years past...

Honestly I am shocked at the halftime score, though it would be tons closer...

This is just LH doing what they do... nothing negative for Gilmer...

sux for the buckeyes... when LH gets you in a hole like this they don't let up... their offense keeps scoring while taking time off of the clock... Cuero was good enough to have the game tied at 28 at half... but you just can't get an edge on this team... too good

If you'll pardon the pun, LH has us a bit "rattled" right now.

That is one scary-looking snake you've got there, even though the Panthers "defanged" it.

charlesrixey
12-15-2007, 06:19 PM
that's why LH has been so good this year

i think their offense is about 96% of last year, but their defense is 130% of last years, or better

Gobbla2001
12-15-2007, 06:20 PM
has LH forced a turnover or two yet? that bit us big against them this season.. we were up 28-21 in the 2nd and were driving... they came up with a huge forced fumble and took it to the house... coulda been 35-21... woulda been huge for us in that game... they're good at making things happen... tough as hell to beat...

Lol, Defanged to say the least. They flat out whipped our a@#'s. But, it was a good learning experience for the Rattlers. LH and Gilmer are great teams. I was hoping that I would have been able to make the game. Good luck to both teams!

Actually, from the way I heard it described, Gilmer's fumble wasn't really "forced." Poitier recovered it.

Allman's fumble back to Gilmer sounded as if it WAS forced, though. He was fighting for an extra yard or two, and someone knocked it loose.

25-13. Gilmer recovered onside kick. Lamar Harris catches 35-yard TD pass. Try for two no good.

It may be a game.

LH runs a variation of the Wing T: called Slot T. Very hard to stop at this level esp. since you don't see it much anymore. Lots of misdirection & assignment football.

LH is a machine & has it going right now. It all starts up front for them & they do it well.

When I first saw video of LH's "Slot T" I thought it WAS the victory formation.

And for the Panthers, obviously it IS.

Congratulations to Liberty Hill. You guys are just as FOR REAL as everyone has been saying. I don't blame you for being cocky. Your team has cashed every check you've ever written with your keyboards.
