It sucked when I realized what was happening but i'm glad we lost like the way we did instead of losing 35-34 in a heartbreaker. It hit everyone slowly instead of getting pounded in the face with a 1 point loss.

Clay, who finished with more than 3,000 yards this season, couldn’t get into the end zone on the next three plays. Quarterback Lance Day was stopped on a keeper at Celina’s 3 on fourth down.
“They were a little shocked,” Celina coach Butch Ford said of his team. “I told them, ‘It doesn’t matter how they got there, just don’t let them score.’ ”
Celina (15-0) drove 97 yards on 17 plays, capped by Jose Romero’s second of three TD runs — a three-yarder. The drive’s big play came on a fake punt on a fourth-and-6 from the Celina 41 when Seth Davis connected with Troy McCartney for a 21-yard pass. The drive encompassed 8:37 as Celina took a 20-7 halftime lead.
Celina got the ball first in the second half and pounded out a 16-play, 80-yard drive that led to a 5-yard score by Romero. Celina converted on two fourth downs. That drive took 6:36, and Celina led 26-7.
“It’s just a complete momentum-shift when the defense gets a goal-line stand like that,” Davis said. “That was all on our defense.”
Celina rode that momentum the rest of the way. Celina held the ball for 26:47 of the game’s final 34:57. Davis finished off Snyder at the :03 mark of the third quarter with an 18-yard run as Celina went ahead, 33-7.
The long drives kept the big play-making abilities of Clay on the sidelines. Snyder was left to fight from behind going against a brutal wind in the fourth quarter. Clay had 125 yards on 15 carries at halftime, and finished with 157 yards in 24 attempts. One run was a garbage-time 32-yarder in the final minute. He lost yardage on nine carries.
“Will Clay is great and so is their offensive line,” Ford said. “We wanted to keep the ball away from them as much as we could.”

Snyder Fans, regardless of what 325 makes everyone think of Snyder football, your boys put up a great fight tonight.

Will Clay is the real deal. He is the hardest back to take down we have faced this year IMHO. He is not the fastest or the biggest or the strongest but you put all three of those together and you have Will. Very impressive, and that line that he gets to run behind is something else. They were making holes this old man could get through (maybe). That first quarter we were beginning to get a little worried.

The defense is what was suspect coming into this game. We were able to exploit that D in the first half and then to start the second half with that second half drive, that made the difference for the Bobcats. Being able to sustain those drives and keep the ball out of your offense's hands made the game.

There is nothing to be ashamed of for this season or how it ended. You were fighting to the bitter end. That defensive stand to prevent a score at the end of the game, get that fumble, and then make that drive, NOTHING BUT PRIDE.

Great season Tigers. Thanks for the memories. Maybe well get to do this again some day, in warmer weather!!!

We've only got one more week then they do the big orange ball thing. My son's like I was, he starts wearing his cleats after the holidays getting ready for baseball.

At the half I asked my husband how he thought the talk in the locker room would go and he said, as the team left the field, "I bet Coach Ford tells them to keep that ball all they can in the 2nd 'cause that 28 is slicker than rain on pavement, and our lead can disappear as quick as it came if we give them the ball much at all." Obviously he's much more astute than me at half time!
