How many 3A teams could win the 4A state title in New Mexico? Artesia has won close to 30 state championships.

Pretty cool video none the less - Snow games look like fun.

I have had the chance to see a bunch of football games in NM over the years and there is no comparison - the best NM teams (4A-5A) would be good but not great Texas 3A teams. According to Massey.com the best NM team (5A State Champ Las Cruces Mayfield) would be ranked 16th in Texas 3A right now. I think that's about right. Mayfield's one loss this year was to El Paso Montwood.

They might have great individual players - Artesia's QB is going to OU and he is the real deal - but over all the speed of the game and the size of the players is so much greater in Texas, even in 3A.

And the team Gilmer beat was from Nevada (Las Vegas Gorman?).
