Monahans played a version of Hawaii 5-0 at halftime of our
quarter-final game against them. They called it "Monahans 13 and 0".
I heard they changed it to Monahans 13- after we beat
them 35-16. :D

but wasnt that the record coming in???

i think it would be neat from them to post a W for a game that isnt finished yet...that would be cocky....but heck i guess schools like Celina and LH can get away with it...i as a fan think that kids should be a lil cocky...and heck the band kids have been working too....let them have some fun with it.

They're teenagers, and a lot of them are the teenagers genetically disposed from those of us on this site, so I'd say yeah, they're probably cocky, but they get it naturally and then again.....it aint braggin' if you can do it:inlove:

  Well, let's see. Presuming the team played 10 games in the regular season, at halftime of the 11th game (first week of playoffs), the team is still 10-0, correct?????

Statement of fact is often construed as being cocky.

No, it's not cocky. I do imagine it took the band members a while to get that one down in practice though.

To me, it's no different than all the spirit signs that they post around the stadium trash talking the other team.

That's freaking awesome. Wish we would of thought of that in HS.

Celina's band has enough kids to create a "0" and maybe the dash. Just not enough kids do create a "14-0" or "15-0".

Which means Celina's band could do a "-0" every game. LOL

However, the coaches could probably get the 100 other football players to do it during the game.

Yeah, I guess you'd have to have a decent size band to do it.

Haha I guess I never had the pleasure of even hearing a band (except the other teams) during a game in Sweetwater. I think our freshmen volleyball team had more people in it than our band.
