M&G participation (compare last week's). I guess we're just
more sociable out here in Region I.:D

On second thought, maybe we just aren't scared to meet the
same posters we trash talk with on this board.

I think that's it. Don't dare try to make idle conversation with someone in Houston - they may put a shiv in ya. OK, maybe it ain't that bad, but the friendliest people I've ever met are from WT. Rudest - California - San Fran to be exact. The more liberal the area the crappier people seem to treat each other.

maybe because more of their teams are out of it earlier in the playoffs?

Unlike Region II & III that all of a sudden have an influx of posters!

I'm gonna have to take you up on it - where does one consume beverages of that type in Giddings. Is Monzy's in Giddings?

Don't think we would go there for beers, but good food. Circle W bar and grill would be an option, OR IT IS CHEEPER AT THE HOUSE? Ha, doesn't matter to me. We could also hit some of the little country stores outside of town too.

I pass by Monzy's all the time going to Austin. I always swear to myself that I'm gonna stop and eat there some day but I still haven't. You give it a thumbs up?

Yes, fine dining for sure. Also don't let the Fresh Doughnuts and Seafood place fool you, it is excellent sea food and best doughnuts in town.

That's because in West Texas you don't ever see anyone for 100 miles, so when you come across someone you are happy to see them.

Yeah but if you live in austin, you might be a little liberalish, that doesn't represent region 3 as a whole.

I live in Williamson Co. I can assure you I am no Liberal.

have you ever been to West Texas? They are the friendliest people I have ever met. I REALLY do think It has to do with the fact that there are so few out there, they enjoy seeing other humans!

One thing I can assure you of is this. In West Texas, if you see
someone with long blond hair and make up , there is a 100% chance
it's a woman.

In Austin, if you see someone with long blond hair and make up,
there is a 50% chance “it” has an Adam's apple and 5 o'clock
shadow.

I could see where this might curb ya'lls enthusiasm to meet new
people.

We first moved here from Houston 4 years ago, went to HEB to buy groceries for the first time....Saw two guys holding hands shopping together in the produce Isle..(not that there is anything wrong with that) I told my wife, welcome to Austin!

The majority of Williamson County voters are Conservative but ... Travis County is swaying to the more liberal side. But this is about Football not politics!! Let's hit somebody!!! :D

Don't lump me in with those REGION II types! Besides, I've been here quiet a while, but I decided this week I'll be dead and buried before I have enough posts to get my AVATAR status ! :(

Another strategy that was used by another poster was this.
Every time someone would post something that he agreed with,
he would reply with...
