I think both teams have a great following. Which side will probably have the biggest turnout Saturday? Also, as a neutral observer, I can't decide which side to sit on...hmmm???

I've gotta root for Gilmer since they beat my Bulldogs. No offense to the LH posters =]

Liberty Hill. They have the best fans in all of 3a.

The real question is: Which city has the most affluent fans? I figure the whole town will turn out the lights and roll up the sidewalks for the evening and take a police escort to the game. Kind of like when someone reads the obits to see when funerals are.

I know 4 Greenwood people will be sitting on the Liberty Hill side!!:D

There will be a lot of Gilmer folks there, but it's only half as far to travel for Liberty Hill, so I would expect there will be more from LH.

Who knows how the "bandwagon effect" will break down, though? Will Gilmer's "T-shirt fans" make a show of force? Time will tell.

I don't know what your current enrollment at LH is, but Gilmer reported 698 this fall.

According to Dave Campbell

Gilmer turned in 668.5
LH turned in 599

These #s came from the magazine this June.

We turned in 711 or 717 - I've seen both and can't remember which is the "official" one.

Every 2 years. This years' freshman class is the biggest we've had and is bigger than the current 7th & 8th grade classes, I believe. Or maybe I'm confused and it was last years' freshman class.

There were between 6400 and 6900 Buckeye fans at the Gilmer / Wylie game. The trip to Waco is about the same time-wise so I would expect Gilmer's side to have at least that many if not more, although the weather may affect attendance (fair weather fans). The last state championship game Gilmer was in (2004) there were more than 7500.

We're meeting a family from Navasota for the game and sitting on the LH side. Can't wait for the game!

Aaaawww, come on Mom! Wear your orange and sit on the WINNING side! It'll be much happier on the Gilmer (WINNING) side, and you'd feel right at home with the orange sweatshirt on.:D

Yes you are right LH MOM. This years freshman class is the biggest.

Aw WB...I'll be wearing orange...Hornet Orange..aka Texas orange (which is difficult for us Aggies). It would clash with Gilmer orange. Not that it goes well with purple. ;) We'll have to wave across the field.

It will be a great game between two awesome teams.

Please remind me about the seating in Floyd Casey Stadium. I sat on the 50 yard line last year but ... I don't remember if it had stadium seating or not since we stood up the whole time. Does it?;)

Depends on whether you want to sit on the Gilmer side and watch the reaction across the field of the losing LH fans or sit on the LH side and watch across the field at the jubilation on the Gilmer side.

If I remember correctly, we sat somewhere between the forty-fives (LHPM could tell you!!) I think where we sat, it was just the bench seating!!

I thought it was bench too but there has been many games since then ... C'mon Saturday!!
