Who are the newspapers picking to win between the LH and Gilmer teams?

They'll pick on Friday or Saturday...

BTW...I would consider newspaper writers the least reliable source on high school games. I was in a box with guys from DMN on Saturday at Wylie/Gilmer...and it takes him about 4 or 5 plays into Gilmer's opening drive to realize "oh...I thought Wylie was the team in black and orange this whole time."

The most "reliable" picks out there so far are:

Massey Ratings: - Liberty Hill 41 Gilmer 37 (Line of LH -4.5)
WOS87's Power Rankings - Liberty Hill by about 14 (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75860)

Thanks! You would think if they are covering the football game they would know what is going on. :doh:
I was like that in 2005 but last year I became an expert!! :D yeah right ... i still have a lot to learn but i'm enjoying the journey!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but why would Celina be #1? Didn't LH beat them?:confused:

Those rankings are based on this years games and since the LH and Celina haven't played this year the only way to claim one over the other is statistical analysis.

Last year matters very little in HS football considering the number of seniors that graduate from most programs each year.
