Which Tiger team do you think is a better team? The 2007 team, or the 2004 team that advanced to the semis?

This is my opinion on the matter - A couple of weeks ago I would have said that the only thing better in 2004 was the defense, but this defense has really come on strong and has improved tenfold. The 2007 offense is much better. We had a strong line in 2004 but only had Dee. This year's O-line is just as good, if not better and we have Clay, Day, and Arrendale and all three are good runners. The 2004 QB might have been able throw a little better, but Day's athleticism trumps that. There seems to be more speed and playmakers on this year's team as well.

I agree. Didn't Snyder have a great lineman and receiver that year too?

Yes, Lico Castillo was an excellent receiver. Can't recall the lineman...

Kicking game was better in '04 as well.

I think we played Snyder closer in 2004, but we WERE better in 2004 than we were in 2007!

I am more impressed with this years team myself!!

I think this years team is better. They have the three headed monster and they have alot of heart. They have been together since they were little guys. I've watched these kids grow up and they grew up fast. Good Luck guys. I'll be rooting for you.

I got the joy of being Lico on scout team preparing for that game. I burnt a certain CB in practice multiple times, but he didnt learn. Friday night I see Lico streak past the same frikin CB and catch a bomb for a TD. :dispntd:

What was the Snyder DB/LB's name a few years ago, something like Issac Ramon? or something like that. I think he was #2 or some single digit #. He IMO may have been one of the best 3A defensive players I have seen in many years. We were glad when he graduated. Sandifer said he went to Snyder's graduation that year just to make sure that he walked across the stage.JK:clap:

I remember Lico having a 68 yard TD reception against Gilmer
when the game was still close. He was the kicker too right?

Yes, he was the kicker too. He was a heck of an athlete. He's now turned his attention to golf where he is a scratch golfer. He's one of those types of guys that is going to be successful in whatever he chooses to do.

That 2004 team came back to beat us in Abilene, that was a tough team. also, that loss helped our boys come down to earth...which ya'll know we ended up winning the whole thing.
