does Celina ever play games south of Waco??? I've seen them in Stephenville, Waco, and all over the DFW...but can't think of them playing down in Austin, San Antonio, or anywhere else south. I'm sure it's happened though...

Well remember when Everman went to San Antonio, PAST Burnet to play in the State game? LOL

Maybe if someone from the south made it past the third round we would!

in 2002 & 2003 when you were in 3A Celina didn't make it past the 2nd round! So, yeah...

And last year, Liberty Hill beat Hondo in the semis, but they are south of Waco.

This year yall might get lucky and get to face Cuero!!

The question did not qualify to the few years that we have been 3A. It asked EVER

Based upon the remaining teams, if we should continue, it would seem Austin, Waco, Abilene and Wichita Falls are likely sites

Does Celina ever really have a reason to play south of Waco?

One team I'd like to see more often is Cuero! Do they play north of Waco?

why would celina play south of waco?

the teams celina has played in the late playoffs over the years:

Groom
Big Sandy
Quanah
Alto
Stinnett West Texas (played in Vernon i believe, don't remember for sure)
Stanton (abilene and Stephenville)
Stratford (i think in childress)
Childress
Mart
Garrison
Elysian Fields
Crawford
Vernon
Liberty Hill
Omaha Paul Pewitt

no reason for them to travel past waco for a semi or title game

only way that will change is if cuero makes the final

Waco is 134 miles from Celina. Anyone in the 100-200 mile range would probably be met in Waco to the south, WF or Abilene west and Tyler east.

yes I WAS referring to playoff games...sorry for the confusion. I wouldn't expect Celina...or any other team in DFW to play regular season games in Austin, Houston, and/or San Antonio areas.

:( Its the wind...we didn't like the wind that made that stupid ball fly 6" more than it wqas designed to:)

I propose a new Bowl Game for thje week after Xmass

The Feline Bowl

To be played by LH and Celina in the parking lot of Texas Stadium if necessary:)

Can bet on one thing, after last year would fill up the stands......where are the UIL money mongers. Seems like they would be all over this:)

i concur with that statement, except that the ball went through by like 20 yards:D

but hey, thats in the past.

i was laughing the other day just thinking about if we each win our divisions how much speculation would be thrown out everywhere, it would be comical to say the least

Would love for DII finals to be Cuero and Celina. Two great football programs. Plus the game would be played around Temple – Waco area. If that’s the case I can guarantee there will be plenty Liberty Hill faithful there.

That's why earlier in the season when LH gets thru playing they can come watch us. It was taken as a snide remark but it wasn't one.
