In argubly he most talked about first round game we have Hawaii and Missouri

Missouri will be on the road going to Hawaii to take on June Jones's ball club

Missouri comes in with two losses both to Oklahoma and were ranked number 1 as late as last week. Missouri led by stars Chase Daniel, Jeremy Maclin, and Martin Rucker come in with a potent spread offense that has put many points up all year. The defense had played fairly well until the OU game but now they are looking to reboundand get back on track.

The only undefeated team in the country the Hawaii Warriors come in riding high after a come back win over Washington to finish their perfect season. It begins and ends with Colt Brennan for Hawaii and his 3 star recievers Rivers, Grice-Mullen, and Bass. The Hawaii defense is vastly improved this year which is part of the reason for their team success.

As far as talent level, Mizzou has the Warriors outgunned in a big way. Granted, Hawaii may have a little more firepower than the Tigers, but the combination of that Mizzou D and an offense that just won't stop means Brennan will have to pull off a slight miracle to upset Mizzou.

Tigers take this one, 51-30

what some of ya'll are missing is all the money that goes into the BCS and the bowl system... until you can get that right, it will never work... how much money is the Big 12, SEC, Pac 10 and Big 10 making off of all the teams that are in the bowl's

a playoff system would involve one or two from a conference and then the money is not there... that is why it will never change... then schools may lose money on football and a lot of schools may shut down the program ( I know, a reach)...

the BCS has admitted they may go to a plus 1 system but that will be about it...

This would be the most exciting game of the season. I bet the over/under would be close to 75. I think I would take the over and the Tigers of Mizzou. Either way, it would be fun.

they used to be the "Rainbow Warriors"...they dropped the "rainbow" about five years ago because they kept being associated with homosexuality.

the BCS has admitted they may go to a plus 1 system but that will be about it... Just look at March Madness. It makes a killing. The money is there. The problem is that the guys making the decisions are going for the bird in the hand instead of the two in the bush. They don't want to take a chance on not getting as much money even though the potential is there for greater revenue.

In 1975 and 1976 the Texas A&I University Javelinas played two games against Hawaii in Hawaii. This was when the Javelinas were on a 44 winning streak in football. The Javelinas won both games 43-9 and 56 to 21.

A UT ex was visiting Hawaii when he saw they had scheduled the Javelinas and told them "Man what did you schedule those guys for. Darrell Royal wouldn't play those guys for anything in the world."

A year or two after June Jones got there when they updated their unis. Like crzy said, kept being associated with homosexuality.

Hawaii 35 Missouri 42....

The confrences and schools would still make money... that's just a myth that the BCS nut sitting behind the numbers and formulas WANTS you to believe...

This is a tough pole for me. As much as I wanted Missouri to beat OU and play in the national title game and represent the big 12, I also wanted Hawaii to have a shot since they are the only team to not get upset (I know schedule, but that didn't matter to like 15 teams this year:) ). So I go with Hawaii for the hell of it.
