So far the ratings have correctly predicted 76.25% (61 out of 81) of all 3A playoff games played to date.

I had a computer crash over the past week and lost the original file with the Week 13 numbers so the columns on the table that would usually show last week's numbers show the numbers from two weeks ago instead.

Wow, that's a big drop from Liberty Hill to Pleasanton.

The shortest direct line of wins I could find:

Liberty Hill beat Navasota by 34 pts 48-14
Navasota beat Needville by 21 pts 41-20
Needville beat Pt Lavaca Calhoun by 14 pts 28-14
Pt Lavaca Calhoun beat Floresville by 17 pts 31-14
Floresville beat Pleasanton by 5 pts 25-20

It's all about who you've played and the point spreads in those games, and who your opponents have played and the point spreads in their games. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with who is left. Although it stands to reason that if you had a tough schedule and have played well in all those games then you should be the steel that has been strengthened by fire.

That is how you get the higher power rating, not by being the team from your region that has made it to the quater finals. Upsets can happen. Remember these are kids we are talking about, and anything can happen on any given night.

We wouldn't do that...but to maintain our current ranking we will have to win by 47.
