It's not a picture of Salinas, but it'll be easier to recognize him from this picture than from yours.

Ha...I think that's Niko scratching his head trying to figure out why he can't gain any yards.
And I noticed Southside held him to 34 yards on 23 carries. Very interesting...I think thought this kid was unstoppable.

His arms and legs were ripped off and he still put up 34 yards.
They've since been reattached.

He'll be on the sidelines most of the 2nd half because Pleasanton will have this one well in hand by halftime.

Anybody have any info?

Haven't said a word. I watch the game and the score board.
So don't include me in your pregame predictions or after game crow eating. I learned this last year after listening to Gidding and Celina posters.
I know our team and I know what they are capable of.
I have about 20 different LH hats. But my "game hat" (that I have worn for the last three years) still fits.

Unless 2 Liberty Hill buses get lost on IH 35 and the Jr. High Scout team has to start the game==I'm not convinced that the Eagles will ever leave the nest and rach the first touchdown. I can guarantee that one person--no matter how talented--ain't gonna take control of the Liberty Hill defense. And I haven't even began to mention how many weapons they have on the other side of the ball. I don't believe the EAGLES WILL FIND THE END ZONE UNTIL LATE IN THE 4TH.

Actually, I did not go to Giddings, Caldwell, Navasota, Rockdale, Liberty Hill, or any other 3A school. Just a Texas High School fan and have watched a number of teams for the last 35 years. I can tell anyone that will listen==Liberty Hill does not have the best athletes-the best coaching- or the best fans in high school football. What they do have that is among the best I have ever seen is teamwork, desire, and a desire to prove to everyone that they will give 100 percent on every play at every position until the whistle blows and the final score is posted. THEY ARE WINNERS!!!!!! BY THE WAY++BEFORE IT IS SAID, I DON"T EVEN HAVE A KID THAT PLAYS HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS!!!!!!

LOL. If only you knew.
It won't be 63-7, I actually believe that Pleasanton will have a much more sound defense that actually REACTS and ADJUSTS to LH's offense, unlike Navasota. I am a firm believer in 42-10 though.:D

Just so you'll realize that a team has to make believers to fill a bandwagon-- I actually watched the Navasota and Needville game this year and believe that Needville was not overmatched. I think your guys made a few early mistakes that cost them- and injuries slowed down the offense that might have made the game more interesting. I think Needville could be a contender next year.

LH will try to pound the ball and Pleasanton will be up to the challenge and pound right back. LH hasn't seen a QB like Salinas this year. He's a FB under center taking snaps. He will offset LH's speed by smashing the ball right up their gut.

I don't own a crystal ball and have never been very good at guessing numbers or I would have won the lottery. But I do believe that this game could be a half century opening in the space between the home and visitor's side of the scoreboard.

In my analysis, I have not seen every player on every play give 100 percent on any teams before i watched Liberty Hill dismantle the Navasota Offense. Every play had 8 or more defenders either on the tackle or within a yard or two. No other team can say 100 percent from 100 percent every play===they all seem to have one or two that rest every now and then when the play is away from them.

The game will be close. (0-0) for a while. Then after the Cats score it will continue to get farther away.
At halftime it will no longer bother you. You will head to Bill Miller's and stuff yourself on beef tips, bread and ice tea and blame the blowout on the coaches. Then you will feel better about yourself. Then your buddy will point out that you have one more beef tip stuck in your chest hair that is sticking out about 2 inches from your collar. You'll blow it off, suck it down, grab a toothpic on your way out and feel great.

I know one thing..we'll have to cook ALOT of it to fill those big mouths.
Hey Rattlerdude, will you please explain to these nice Pleasanton Fans that we aren't boasting. We are just proud, loud, and basing our predictions of this game on the efforts and results of games played thus far. Pleasanton, (and Navasota in the 1/4 Finals), wouldn't be this close to winning the whole salami if they didn't deserve to be here. Be proud and don't bash us because we are proud too.

I can't grow chest hair. Nasty accident down in Matamoros a few years back.
Cats won't win. Pleasanton by a lot.

Yeah, I can't even seem to get into it with these two, because I think they are just here writing "BS" to add to thier post count by saying the same thing over and over..... They don't have any specifics about Pleasanton other than what we have found on the web.
That being said, I'm going to go with a score of LH 55 - Pleasanton 14.

The only thing I saw them taking from people at the Big 12 game last Saturday was food and drinks....

I found this - "Some Spirit Items permitted will be Hand-held signs (nothing over 18”); and thunder sticks (the air sticks that you hit together). No air horns, no flag poles, no shakers with steel marbles."

I get the feeling that big daddy russ and IHStangFan don’t believe their own rhetoric. Either way it is amusing.
I think I will go with
LH – 56
Ptown – 7
Sounds about right.
The Panthers came out more fired up for Navasota than they have been all year. I predict they will carry that same intensity into Saturday’s game. The end goal is in sight and nothing is going to stop them form getting there. The Panthers are hungrier than ever.

Ok, so I've got a bet for big daddy russ and IHStangFan. Since you're so certain Pleasanton will win and we're so certain LH will win, I think a little wager is in order.
If LH wins: Both of you will change your avatars to a picture of our state championship ring from last year and you'll change your signature to "Liberty Hill has the absolute best fans in the state of Texas and I can only dream of being one."
If Pleasanton wins: I will put whatever you wish in my signature.

i easily see where you are coming from R4editor, but i think that a one man offense like pleasantons is going to be stopped before kick off :D thus forcing the defense to be on the field longer than imagined for the wittle eagles. and that right there is the difference, Salinas might get his plays...but not enough to keep his defense off the field.

All three of our playoff opponents in Region 3 could beat Pleasanton. Just look at this trend from last year. There simply aren't any good teams in Region IV, Div I.
Robinson:
vs Hutto W 49 27
vs Palestine W 41 35
vs Columbia W 42 14
vs Ingleside W 62 21 (Yeah, that's a season high 62 points for Robinson)
I look for History to repeat itself. I don't know if we'll score our season high in points, since we've already hit 70 this year, but I definitely see a 40+ point win for the Panthers.

I believe for there to be an argument, there has to be two sides, so I thank you and russ for taking part this week since there aren't any Pleasanton fans on here. It would be a long week without you two. The state semis are supposed to be exciting. It's supposed to be a matchup like Wylie-Gilmer. Obviously that's just an opinion. I remember A few years ago when Jasper fans were convinced that there team was unbeatable. I remember Burnet Hanging 21 om them before they even new what hit them. But Burnet was also undefeated at the time just like LH. I just don't see any team giving LH much trouble this year. If anyone could have done it it would have had to have been Cuero. I really wish LH would have gone DII because I would have liked to have seen these two teams in a rematch.

Cuero is young, and hasn't played a very tough schedule yet. They are a very good team, but I see them falling just short. Hope I'm wrong cause I like the Gobblers....they will be a force the next couple of years for sure.

IV usually...is their speed. So it'll be interesting to see how they play against a team that's as fast as they are. You think you got it bad...just listen to this.
I had to pack the fam in and head to Salado Sunday, after church I might add, to get a Christmas tree. And the ones they grow there suck. So we buy an out of state tree and we end up paying $105 for a 9 and a half foot free that has an 18 inch branch on the top that I cut off anyway to put the angel on it. Then I get home a little before dark and I get the..."will you put the lights on the house." And I'm ready to relax and catch 30 minutes or so of fooball...after all it is sunday...the day of rest. So, I get the tree up an hour later after I have arranged every piece in the living room in all the possible formations. We ended up putting it the way I suggested initially. (I'm a genius by the way). Now its time to put the lights on the tree. I have an audience by this point...sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, 3 daughters, and wife. So that's 5...6...7...7 voices giving advise on how to put lights on a tree. 14 strands later my little one points out that one of the lights are out.
So, you don't hear me complaining...nope. It's not in my nature. I went outside and kicked the crap out of my dog though...then game him the leftovers.
Good times. We all have it rough.

LH 56 P 7 funny you mention dogs...my wife has 3 that I'm having to put up w/ at the moment. Well..the weenie dog is mine..had him for 11 yrs now...he goes about 28 lbs and hes solid muscle...never seen one as big or as "big dog agressive" as he is...a pug, and a "cattlemaster" which is a breed made up of catahoula, border collie, and American bulldog...being bred by free range cattle ranchers to round cattle up in the mountains..hes a good dog. Anyway..I was bringin the little guys in this evening..and they were taking turns peeing on their tree when the neighbor dog which is about a 45lb healer lookin thing pounced on my weener dog...who commenced to whoopin its arse. So as Cowboy the weener is trying to eat this healer...the pug goes for their 90lb lab! YIKES!! I jump inbetween them and am yelling at Cowboy to leave the other dog that had just pounced on him alone...he goes back into our yard...by this time the neighbor is outside yelling at his dogs....we exchange pleasantries...as we are buddies....and I bring the little bastages into the mud room to feed them..and they're acting like nothing is wrong....little morons! If it weren't for you and russ, this thread might have four pages, and maybe only one about the game. Before y'all got involved, this was a thread discussing seeding playoff teams and listing teams from region IV that have had success.
R4Editor isn't even picking Pleasanton. He's going out on a limb just by saying that they'll play us closer than our region III foes. I know you guys aren't serious in backing the Eagles. If you really felt like Pleasanton would win, you'd take my bet. I don't mind, though. I'd rather have people pretend to pick someone than have a quiet week. I didn't think that this would get funnier as it goes, you know beating a dead horse and all, but I have been proven wrong! Oh well, game is almost here, and I still say LH 42-10. Salinas won't score, so no endzone dance unfortunately.:p

Yes that probably is not too far from the truth. I was thinking 35 - 0. LH plays great D to go with that O. And they will control the ball.

I don't know if Liberty Hill actually takes out their starters after having a big lead in the playoffs, but what is the point. You rest your starters before the playoffs so they can play the whole game in the playoffs. Whats the point of resting them anymore? You have nothing else to rest for. I say to any team in the playoffs, "Keep your starters in no matter the score, and just keep laying it on em for the whole game."

So, your brother Niko is a spanker? I'm not sure if you and yours are aware of it or not. But, tomorrows game is not a spanking contest.
Tomorrow there will be a team all dressed in Purple and Gold. Most of them were created some 15-18 years ago. They have been groomed and conditioned to be beast on the field and men in the world. They are well taken care of by their mothers and fathers. Their moms cry everytime they do their job the right way...and their dads get the chill. Their brother and sisters are never prouder. Their friends want to be therm. Their coaches have been molding some of them for 4 years now. They have taught them to love pain and to over come it. They have taught each other that alone they are insignificant...but, together they are unstoppable. For those 48 minutes nothing else matters...pure focus and determinations is what you will see in their eyes. Are they proud?...you bet your ass. Are they hungry?...damn right they are. And if you are not sure you will find out in about 24 hours. If I were a betting man I would put the farm on them. They are the heros of our town for a short while...but that while can last for an eternity.
Tomorrow I'll also be wearing Purple and Gold. I'll be loud and proud at the same time. I am lucky to consider myself a Panther.
Come on with the come on!

There was absolutely nobody here representing Pleasanton. We just tried to make it interesting. I am sorry that you have 0 sense of humor and the inability to understand what we were trying to do. Instead you just want to come on here, have a sour attitude, and point out "you were wrong" "really?"
