the funny thing...and this goes to prove SLC's arrogance...is that they could've run the clock down to one second and kicked a field goal but they just HAD to run one more play even though they were well within range already. Serves em right.

That Abilene team was good. I have relatives there. Grew up close by and went to college there. I get footage and I thought they had a real chance to beat slc. Those kids have a little discipline problem but they play with a chip on their shoulder and put the hat on ya. Way to go West Texas Football.

The SLC coach is the coach that started it all for SLC before dodge, so he has been in on the offense since the beginning.

there is nothing wrong with trying to run another play to set up the FG in the middle of the field. BUT...my opinion....USE THE TO and dont try to get under center to spike the ball. WHY GET UNDER CENTER if you never get under center to begin with. Its not like you lose yards. Ive heard someone say that they were getting under center to kneel the ball in the middle of the field and call the TO and I could somewhat undertand that because you dont want to lose yards. Weird deal....

In the postgame interview one of the kids said they were going to spike hte ball.

I think they were thinking about a possible bad snap, so you want to be able to just fall on the ball and call a TO. SLC has one of the best kickers in the state, losing 5 yards would not of made a difference. They were in FG range before the personal foul that moved them up.

What a game though! I thought the crowd would be alot bigger, a big showing from Abilene though.
