Bulldogs win - 28 - 14.

Andrews kept it much closer than I (and most others) expected. Andrews was up 14-7 and driving midway through the third quarter when their drive stalled around the Bulldog 30. Pretty much the turning point in the game, as Wylie scored 21 unanswered after this stop.

Wylie radio commentators weren't so bad tonight either.

Just got home from this game. Andrews was way way way better than I ever thought they'd be. Very well coached and well disciplined. They really took it to Wylie for 2 1/2 quarters, but Wylie finally got it together in the 3rd and starting playing much better. I think Wylie just finally wore them down some, and Wylie did get a couple good breaks in the 4th that gotem fired up. Wylie could have very easily lost this game had they not picked it up several notches in the second half. If they start this slow next week, they'll get beat for sure. Maybe they got that out of their sysems now though. But make no mistake, Andrews had a lot to do with Wylie's bad play early. Andrews will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come imo.

Got to meet several Wylie dlowers at the half. Great bunch of guys! We had a great time talking football. Spent most of the 2nd half visiting with garcia77 and really enjoyed that. pero chato was there, Injured, nobogey72 and myself. Sorry RM, but we didnt get any pictures. Dont know why we didnt though, garcia77 had his camera. Just too busy visiting and talking football I guess.

Weather was perfect most of the game. Just had a light mist through most of the 2nd half, but it didnt seem to bother anything.

Just got back from the game. I can only say that Wylie was fortunate to come away with this one. I think they had been reading the newspaper and websites like this too much this week and thought all they had to do tonight was show up. As has already been said, we looked incredibly flat the first 2 and 1/2 quarters. They had our quarterback flustered much of the night. But to Wallace's credit, he finally turned it on and sparked our comeback.

The real clincher was Case Wilson's punt return for a TD. Wow!!  Without a doubt the loudest Wylie's crowd has been all year. It's like we had all been building up frustration throughout the game that was finally let out on that incredible run.

One thing is for sure, Wylie can't afford a game like this next week. Waiting until the second half to turn it on will be too late against what is sure to be a more quality opponent regardless of who we play. Andrews played well. They had a great game plan, and were fired up. But when the Bulldogs decided it was time, they were able to show a glimpse of what they are capable of. Let's hope we can come out on the first play next week with that same level of intensity!!

Go Dawgs!!!:D

You said it all! I knew this was not going to be a cake walk at all. But I really do not think Wylie came out flat! I just really think that Andrews out played us the first 2 1/2 Qtrs. They shut down our running and passing game and they got open often and made big plays in the first half. I believe Andrews was the best team we have played this year. This game could have gone either way. Andrews was for real!!!!

It seemed the team was more nervous than flat during the first two quarters. Although they were both, our sideline was VERY quiet during the first half. It wasn't until one of coach's patented speeches during halftime that the team really started playing. The play that triggered the energy shown by the team was the bad shotgun snap, and the team erupted and wasn't nervous anymore. I don't think Andrews had made a major mistake until then.

In conclusion, I feel our team did overlook Andrews even though Coach stressed that throughout the weak, and when we showed up to the stadium they realized that they would have to play and not have the game handed to them.

P.S. -- Great game Andrews, your players were very encouraging during the handshakes and telling us to go all the way instead of being bitter!

Should only be used after each play, but not to keep the team from hearing the count!

It was messing up T-Mass pretty bad not being able to hear Jared, but another thing their defense was doing was calling snap counts at the line as well, saying "hut" quite often and making another reason for so many false starts.

I hope we play em at the Mustang Bowl. Enjoyed meeting Stang Red at the game, and perochato, and garciap77. Already knew Injured. texasfootball2 didn't make it to the M&G--too busy---don't ask!!!! TF2 offspring had a special game. Lucky to win that one. Andrews played there everlivin butts off. At times it seemed that Andrews had 15 defensive players on the field, bringing LB's putting all kinds of pressure on wylie's QB. Couple of big special team's plays end up making the difference. :)

I have to also give congrats to the Andrews team. They came out and gave us all they had. The played fast, hit hard, and were really talented. I must admit I fell into the trap of under estimating them. Congrats, and you guys have nothing to hang your head about. I spoke with #55 and his family after the game. The kid actually came over to where our players were celebrating and taking pictures. Outstanding young man. I told his parents they should be very very proud of him.
