I dont know much about palacious but depending on what type of offense they run and how much speed they have at skill positions, but if they pass the ball a lot then they will give llano fits, they do not have much size in the secondary and llano has little to no team speed at all, they are decent sized and strong, but they probably only have 2 maybe 3 kids that run better than a 4.7 with 2 of them being RB's and one of them is like 5'5. the other back Dickey #22 has good size and speed, their best overall player. I do know one thing, I watched some Rivals clips of that stud LB from palacious and he will have a chance to rack up some tackles tonight because Llano runs the ball about 90% of the time. Llano is a 3 yards and cloud of dust team that occasionally breaks one, they use their strength to their advantage and try and wear teams down. should be a good game. is it tonight in seguin? what time?

Way to go Charks! Victoria Memorial Stadium is looking like some good football next weekend. Palacios vs Cuero/Wimberly, and Refugio vs Altair Rice. Don't hold me to this, wishful thinking but could happen.

IF cuero wins, there would definitely be a lot of locals not affiliated w/the schools there also

Congrats to the Sharks.

However Llano was terrible, they were slow, had no passing game, and never made an extra point.

The sharks better have won that game because they would have been pretty sick by getting beat by Llano.

Solis didnt have a lot of blocking for him but he made things happen. He broke some runs and had a huge 40+ run for the last td in the 3rd. Palacios was very efficient passing as well. They look like they are playing on another level. Lots of energy.

The word is Palacios head coach want to play Cuero (should Cuero win) in College Station.

Being that gas is 3 dollars a gallon I wish they would play in Victoria.

But I believe he thinks those kids have earned the chance to play at a major stadium. I just cant see this being very feasable. The stadium rental has to be pretty high for Kyle field. And I am not sure they would rent that stadium to a 3a school.

But Palacios may think next week will be the end so they might as well go play in a nice stadium. Whats the difference getting beat in Victoria or Kyle Field

Congrats Sharks

I will tell you Palacios will go where Cuero doesnt want to go. They know they will need every advantage. I would not mind seeing the go to San Marcos but not college station and not San Antonio.

palacious didnt impress me too much.... their RB has some moves but other then him and the LB #44 they dont have much at all.I think one of their OG's was like 5'4 150. and they had about 8 players going both ways, im not trying to knock them but either cuero or wimberley will crush them next week. I will tell you one thing, If we do win tmrw night and get to play palacious next week I cant wait for our defense to get a piece of that RB. hes a cocky one. Llano is a decent team, they just have no speed at all and nobody fast enough to break a big run.they cannot pass when they need to.LIVE BY THE RUN AND DIE BY THE RUN.. thats the drawback to running that offense, ask LH. when your down a TD and have to go 90 yards in a minute or so your screwed unless you get a miracle hail mary.

headhunter
11-30-2007, 11:55 PM
Agreed both wimberly or Cuero will beat them

But Palacios is just happy to be where they are at who would have ever picked this.

Congrats Sharks

i know for a fact that the sharks hated playing on the turf at victoria for their first round game, it was too slick for them, and the only turf game any of those seniors had EVER played in.

Kyle field's a stretch, I just think coach treybig wants to avoid the turf in victoria.

Kyle field is (or was) available to 3A. Sinton played both a semifinal and a championship game there in 2001.

I was told that Treybig did not want to play in victoria.

I can see his point though, he wants those kids to have a chance to play under the lights in a big time stadium. They have earned it and whether its cuero or wimberly they know its going to be their last game so they might as well get to play big time

Only Mike Treybig could jump start a program like this

He enjoyed success at Industrial way back when

He just didn't have the athletes when he was at Sweeny

It was a dry spell for the Bulldogs during his tenure
