The winner will be 12 - 1 while the loser will be 11 - 2. This is important for playoff implications. There will be four games left after this game but the winner will need to just win 3 out of 4 games and will have home field advantage throughout all the playoffs. The winner will have head to head advantage in the playoff determination even if they tie at the end of the year. If the two teams meet in the playoffs it will probably be for the NFC championship game and if it is in Green Bay I don't have to point out how bad January weather is up there (Remember the Ice Bowl game forty years ago). That is the main concern. Plus being at home is an advantage.

Go Cowboys!

If the Cowboys lose, they'll have to hope that Tony Romo turns into the next Michael Vick!

(The only QB to win a playoff game at Lambeau....)

according to a site i found Green Bay has lost 2 of its last 3 home playoff games. Did Vick win both of those?

Postseason

Lambeau Field has represented a significant postseason home-field advantage for the Packers. From its opening in 1957 until January 2003, when they fell 27-7 to the Atlanta Falcons, the Packers had never lost a postseason game at Lambeau Field. However, the Packers hosted just one postseason game (in the ad-hoc round-of-16 in the strike-shortened 1982 season) during a lean stretch of 27 years between the Ice Bowl of 1967 and a wild-card game in December 1994. Although the Packers have lost two of their last three playoff games at Lambeau Field, the overall postseason record is an impressive 12-2. The stadium has hosted 3 NFL championship games in 1961, 1965 and 1967 also known as the Ice Bowl.

The Packers rushing game versus the Cowboys defense is the key matchup IMO. If the Packers can't run the ball (as their 32nd rank), the Cowboys can have 8 guys in coverage all night long and close lanes for Favre to throw to. DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis, and Jay Ratliff should be able to create pressure on their own (when Ellis or Ware becomes the fourth rusher), and Favre won't have all day to find holes.

On the other hand, if Ryan Grant starts ballin' like he has the last couple of games against weaker Ds, this game could turn into a big time shootout in a hurry.
