Name & it's early. Very good guards but little inside. A&M has looked really good so far in winning NIT & lots of depth. 7'0" freshman DeAndre Jordan has NBA written all over him, but he is raw. I really like Coach Turgeon's style, but I am not surprised as he played at Kansas & coached under Roy Williams & Larry Brown. That's good stock.

Texas beat TENN to move up.

Durant was good, but so are the players that were playin with him. Texas has a good team, they just dont have durant goin fed everygame anymore. Does Texas has a somewhat young team, and how is their depth?? Can't wait to see the Ags and Texas play, gunna be some good games..Gig'em

It helps that Texas upset a top 10 team this past week as well

Not as deep as A&M. Barnes has been playing around 7-8 guys. A&M had 8 guys score in 1st half alone vs. Ohio State in win. Texas is very guard-oriented but lacks much inside. Pittman is hurting. I want to see how Texas will handle a big & physical team. UCLA is very good.

Yes, UCLA is very good. They have skill spots takin care of and they can play fast ball to. I think it will be lil' to much for the horns but we will see. A&M is playing pretty good, i was impressed with the ohio state game but i wanna see them play a top team. I know we will see them against Kansas, but it would beinteresting to see them against UCLA..Memphis..louisville. But yeah...

Softest 6'10" guy in country. He is not a banger - likes to step out & shoot it. Been watching him since HS days at Clear Lake. Texas needs James & some others to step up inside. UCLA is huge & physical in Coach Howland's style.

A&M looked good in beating decent Bama team. Sloan really played well. A&M is much deeper than I thought they would be. Freshmen & sophs playing well & playing a lot of minutes. Jones fouled out & A&M's front line never missed a beat (Davis, Elonu, Jordan, etc.).

Sunday will be good tests for both A&M & Texas. Arizona is still good & UCLA is very good. Check it out Sunday evening on FSN for both games.

You still think Texas is overrated or that they got their ranking due to their name...despite the fact that Texas isn't known as a basketball school (despite some recent success).

. he may be soft but he has been huge in wins vs Tennessee and UCLA so ill take it. But i agree he is pretty soft.

Congrats to Texas, great win over very good UCLA team. Augustin is a player & James has really improved. Last year James could not hit the 12-15 foot shot. Still pretty thin inside & reliant upon hitting outside shots primarily. Sunday, they did & got the win.

A&M led by as much as 20 then let it get away. Arizona had something to do with it too. A&M will get better & get tougher, esp. on road. PG must be solved - really missing Acie Law & had trouble getting into offensive sets in 2nd half. Kirk or Sloan must step up ASAP. FT shooting is question mark too: 60% on year.

It is early so let's see where the teams go from here. March is where you make your name after fighting to get there all season.

while i agree that UT has to improve their bigs play...they outrebounded UCLA in their game the other day....and while it is too early...UT is making positive progress that will help down the road

Lots of long rebounds, & Love got into foul trouble. Teams that can get Texas to play half court will give them some trouble. Hard to do, but it will happen. Texas had to play lots of 2-3 zone to offset size problems.

Texas is very good, just saying it's early. A&M is good too & very young at key spots. They will get better. A&M has 6 guys over 6'9", but must get improved PG play. We'll see.

i know i was saying it was early too;) .... and why do you think love got into foul trouble...dont you usually attack big when he is on defense to get him in foul trouble..i know thats what i would do...and paint points dont just come from the post pllayers
