Well after one week of district 19-3A action the standings are pretty much as predicted....Crockett with a hard fought win at Teague 27-14, Madisonville with a blowout of a weak Westwood team, Mexia handling Trinity, and the #5 Fairfield Eagles looking very strong in a 51-6 demolishing of the Groesbeck Goats on the road. Fairfield, Mexia, and Crockett are clearly the cream of the crop and look to have a fun stretch run coming up. I think Fairfield's hunger and experience from a deep playoff run last year will prevail in this tough district but Mexia and Crockett will both have something to say about that. Anyone else have any thoughts?
