I wish Wylie could go with something a little more modern looking. We've had the same basic look at least 15 years now. The all purple home look is pretty good. But the away white jerseys with the same purple pants are not near as good.:o

Haha, what recent (as in last 20 years) move-downs have won state titles at the 3A level? Everman is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

I have always liked Wimberly's red, white, and blue. Especially the all white with red and blue accents. Kind of like Wharton.

Wharton in the baddest looking team I have ever seen take the field when they wear all white with blue and red accents. The thing that makes them look good is the white leggings. Every kid wears them. They all look smokin' fast.

Which brings up a question. Leggings or no leggings. Our guys started a few years back wearing the shortie socks with bare calves. I don't like the look at all. Looks very junior high to me. I thought there was something in the NCAA rule book that you had to wear leggings but I may be dreaming.

Just remember, those are your words, not mine! Most here know that 3A is going to be extremely tough and nothing is guaranteed. Brownwood is just looking forward to competing against schools more our size. I promise you you will never see me posting anything about Brownwood will win it all or anything like that. I, like most of you, love my team. If you go to our web site one of these days you will see just how much. Also, nothing says that we will actually go 3A, remember, the UIL has to stir the pot some before we will know where we will end up. That alone is somewhat scary!

Wylie replaces varsity jerseys every two years with a rotating replacement. New purple one year, new white the next. Depending on what year you are a senior, you get to buy the retired ones. Thankfully I got to buy the purple one after my senior year. The white ones are horrible. An all white road uniform with the modern purple wavy stripe on the side of the pants and jersey would look pretty cool I think....:thinking:

Actually, the Chicago "C' has a serif or tail on the left. The Celina C does not and has the word Bobcat in the middle. Other than that we are fairly limited in what a "c" can look like!

who cares... we've had our C a VERY long time... I think we may have gotten it around the late 40s or so (someone from Cuero do some research, ask your friends)... A Cuero-ite was on the Chicago bears then... that was sometime after they adopted their C from the University of Chicago who had dropped their football program in the late 30s... so if we wanna get specific, the C was first the logo of a football program that no longer exists...

The Reds C is very similar, but they call it the "wishbone C"... pretty much the same damn thing, but they started using that after the University of Chicago already used the style we now associate with the bears...

Yes they are good for a 3A band. In fact this year they sound louder than ever. But the director seems a little lazy to me. The thrid quarter is a critical time in a lot of games. Besides, if I had put in all those hours of practice, I'd want to play the whole game, not walk around under the stands or go see my mommy!

Sweeny in the 1980s when used more navy, silver, & white w/ columbia blue trim for pants & jerseys.

Now different helmet - not silver one w/ DOGS in 3D look & Bulldog snarling. Old helmet was on magazine covers, etc. New jerseys do look better than a few years ago though.

Don't care for columbia blue helmets & bulldog/cross bones...but that's just me. I support them either way.

Ingleside used to have awesome baseball jerseys when I was in high school. We got them my freshman year and I'm sad they've been retired. Best unis I've ever seen for any baseball program, HS, college, or pro, anywhere.

Jersey was white with "Mustangs" written across the front arcing. "Mustangs" was deep royal blue with black outline, and the jersey had either black or blue striping... honestly can't remember off the top of my head.

Hold on there! We all know that 3A is going to be very tough and no one here expects to just run right through the 3A playoffs. We have quite a few holes to fill from the 2007 team. I know that they are already working their tails off getting ready. Hopefully we will be ready for the challenges that 3A give us.

I haven't really seen any extraordinary jerseys for teams that we have played this year. I liked the black and gold that Giddings wears. The black and gold are very intimidating. I really like The Rattlers new home jerseys.

I think it will be like when Everman went to 3A for a few years. They were were on a roll.
