I think the Tigers just have too many weapons on offense

Even though Snyder whipped us yesterday I'm still not convinced they are all that good. I have not seen Argyle play but I did see Graham when we played them at the beginning of the year and they are a pretty good team. For Argyle to hold them to 8 points they must have a pretty good D and I think they will stop Snyder's explosive offense.

This is probably comparing apples to oranges since one was in week 0 and one was later in the season...but, we did way better against Graham than we did Snyder, IMO!!

Argyle beat Clyde 17-0. Thats all I know. Clyde has been historically a so-so team. Since I've been here anyway. I know Clyde was pretty good this year, and holding Argyle to 17sounds like there D did well. I didn't get see Clyde this year but I hear they played Wylie pretty well, and several other good teams. Graham is a good team, so I must believe the Tigers have there hands full next week. Our D has done great since district started, and our passing game is better than people think. Our running game has been slowed but not stopped this year, and I must believe if we score 30+, we win. I definately need more info on Argyle so I'll be researchin this week. Where is Argyle anyway?

I'm obviously a Snyder fan, I've watched this group since they were 9 @10 yrs old. I watched the Argyle-Graham game last night; their quarterback is quite a weapon, beyond that I wasn't impressed at all. They were very small defensively and not extremely fast. I believe Snyder will run all over them. Snyder's question mark is pass defense. Argyle also has a nice kicker. I think Argyle will score but Snyder will control. Score 43 to 24 Snyder wins.

before we played them in bi-district coach slaughter told us that they led 3a in avg. points scored; however if you can stop their Passing game they are not capable of running on the average d and it will be a long night, but it really is tough to slow down their passing game, but i think Snyder can do it.

I think this will be a very interesting game, not to mention a very high scoring game

Our running game was fine against the Graham defense which IS a great run stopping defense. It's a funny thing about the spread if you run it right you can exploit whatever the defense gives. Should be a fun game to watch on Friday Huh.

I'm going with Snyder. They have the superior rushing attack. I think Vernon would match up better against Argyle so I'll be hoping for an Eagle victory but only for the Lion's sake. Not to be so bold as to think we will just beat Argyle, but Snyder has a good rushing attack and Vernon has had trouble stopping that. So bottom line is I think the Tigers win this game but I'm hoping for an upset.

FYI:
(I have not seen either team play).

Yes the running game is very impressive... i've heard that Argyle isn't very good at stopping the run but thats only what i've heard from family around the area...Snyders offensive line is very powerful, then our backs are all very talented. It should be a good game.

I've yet to see a "bend" defense this year that Will Clay did not break. Better get him down quick or he will be gone. But if you spend too much on him the other 2 runners will burn you too.

snyder will take this one hands down. outscoring their last 6 opponents 226-49 tells you that offense can rack up points and defense can dominate. clay is on a mission this season, with 2600 yards and there being possibly 4 games left to play, he will easily reach 3000. once again snyder in no contest

50-13

We have 3 football stadiums in Argyle, either google earth was an old pic. or you were looking at the Jr. High field. Our High School stadium seats 2500. Plus we just passed a bond to add addidtional seating and turf to the field.

www.texasfootball.com says

Snyder (10-2) vs. Argyle (10-2): Argyle and Snyder have taken very different paths through the postseason thus far, Argyle having allowed only 8 points (while scoring only 38) and Snyder having scored 95 (while allowing 26). So who is better here -- the Eagles' upstart defense or the Tigers' offense? It would seem like the early edge has to go to Snyder, who brought back nine offensive starters from last year's playoff team, including RB Will Clay, who was simply sensational last week against Monahans (225-3 TDs). Clay's record-setting season (2,419-34 TDs) is very impressive, but Eagles QB J.J. Harp, one of the best around, also looked good last week against Graham. In the end, I'll take a suddenly surging defense - Argyle knocks off Snyder, 42-28.

Seriously though, that was a great game. Snyder just came up with the big plays when they needed them. Harp lived up to the hype. Is he a senior?

One of his coaches told me he's lookin @ Eastern New Mexico.

But man that kicker!! There ain't a better one in the state! What a weapon!!

And by the way I'm proud to say I took part in the standing ovation that Snyder Fans gave to the Argyle team at What-A-Burger after the game. Great show of sportsmanship guys!
