I have never seen Rice Cons. play a ball game; however, I saw their posters belittle Sweeny last year in an abusive way. It kind of tickled me when Sweeny pulled a big upset on them...Now this year, Port Isabel slaps them out of the Playoffs and the bitterness comes out again. Guys, this is HS football, I am sure Rice has some excellent fans but these type comments against P.I. are a little uncalled for.....With that being said, the stats say a Marlin victory. I have seen Marlin play, they have a very good football team. P. I. appears to be a class act just like Sinton, I am glad they get the chance to try to pull the upset.

Everyday I log on to find stupid people. First off the fan who said Queero would beat Rice by 2 touchdowns. Week one Rice rocked them 46-22, don't see them winning by two TDs. As for the the yelling after the game, 63-61 great game but far from taking it to a team I guess you thought that Rice cheerleaders couldn't understand spanish. Then there is the idiot that talked about the 129 yards. How many carries did Spears have in the second half? He was hurt thats a big blow to the offense, but it didn't stop Huffman from going 86 yards for the tieing score. It was a great game. Now before you get pissy for me saying that Marlin is the team to beat. You cant beat size and speed two weeks in a row. But hey what is left of the seawall defense may step up and play more like a six foot players than five and a half like most of your team. Let me just get this straight, you think that PI has not class because of a few people in a crowd. Every team has an idiot, fan. It just happens, the team you support, has you. So there is that. But if you really wanna talk about class, lets talk about the people in position of authority. Those that are supposed to set the example.
As a former law enforcement official, Rice's head football coach should be in prison, not on a football field molding young men's minds to be responsible adults. At best he should have resigned. First of all, drinking on school grounds, childish, then to evade arrest and in the process, asault a peace officer. This behavior should not be condonde. And for the Altair Rice Consolidated School District Board to allow this person to continue employment, in the possition that he is in, is for lack of a better word irresponsible. Remember that the kids at this school look up to him. He is a role model. And should set the standard for not just the team, school, and student body, but for the community and the people of the town.
At the PI game the same head football coach that was arrested and charged for drinking on a school premises, evading arrest, and on top of other felony charges, aggrivated assault on a peace officer, showed just what kind of person he was. After Rice's first TD on the first play from scrimmage, this person, put his arms out to his side, pumped his arms in the air and stared right at the PI crowd, as if to say let's here it now, get loud, we shut you up huh? And to finish off his shenanigans, gave Coach Stump a glazing stare, and a pointing punch, as to say take that. Add to that what he apparently said at the coin toss, "tell me when and where, it will be over by half time." If this is what you call class, you could leave me out. Laterz
