i was listening to this game on the way home from lubbock....some of the worst announcers ever. why do announcers have to be so homer? it got annoying. i think it was 98.1? something like that if your in the listening area

I know I don't where they find those guys..... I think they just pull them in off the streets! You would think Wylie could find someone with some real professionalism for their listening audience to listen to. I tried to listen to them while driving in to Graham from Abilene and I just had to turn them off and read the updates when I got home......

I like Trace, but don't care for the other guy (mainly cause it seemed he used to throw in at least one negative comment towards Snyder per broadcast). But all in all, I think they do a good job.

Agreed! That main announcer (Trace I guess) seems pretty good. But that other smart___ has no business being on a broadcast. He is just plain annoying as hell. Seems to be the small man with a big mouth type to me. Bet he's not so big mouthed face to face, as he is hiding behind that microphone. Kinda like some posters on here sometime.:D

The reason it is so "HOMER" is because it is a WYLIE broadcast, it is not supposed to be unbiased. We never even try to be biased. So, therefore, KMA.... in fact... KM purple and gold A!

Just so you know... I hear people gripe about our annoucers being homers all the time. These guys dont work for ESPN, ABC, or CBS. The "little" man you refer to has more than just had kids that went to Wylie. He has been a great mentor, friend, and coach to many Wylie atheletes over the years. This man is very well respected in the community. I am only sorry that I cant hear the guys when we are out of town. Listen to a broadcast sometime and you might hear a personal story about one of the kids that you never would have known if they had not of shared it on the air. .

I think that if the Wylie boosters (or whoever's boosters) are paying for the air-time then the announcers should be pro-Wylie. Wylie overcame some big mistakes early to pull this one out. Two turnovers in the first quarter helped Burk set up their one scoring drive. The regular starting center for Wylie was out injured this week. The back up center was overwhelmed to say the least. He was a senior 200 pound kid without much game experience going up against a nosegaurd that weighed at least 300 and was pretty quick. He had the poor kid flustered the whole game. The two first quarter turnovers were a fumbled snap and an interception by that nosegaurd on a screen play. There were several other errant shotgun snaps throughout the game that Wallace was able to recover "Tony Romo" style. Word is the starting center will be back next week.

This was one of the sloppier games Wylie has played all year, but it was good to see them come away with a convincing victory. Once again the defense played an excellent game. Things start to get exciting from here on out!

Like I said, I think they do a good job and I understand the homerism. I just don't like the negative jabs that he throws at other teams (and communities) when it doesn't have anything to do with the team they are playing.

There are plenty of Wylie people who think our color anylist is an idiot. Trace, the play by play guy is fine, but the color guy is horrible. It's embarassing to us that he "represents" Wylie to many people who listen to the broadcast on the internet, especially as Wylie makes it into the late rounds of the playoffs. There has been talk of how we migh get him replaced. But he's a big Wylie supporter and has been around forever.......:mad:

i think the starting center (taylor massey) i supposed to be back this next week. last time i talked to him 2 weeks ago he said he was going to be out for 2 weeks. but the back up center (clay reedy) looked like he actually handled his own w/ that big boy, im truely impressed.

Burk's noseguard (#70) gave us fits all night... well at least until the 4th quarter when he got tired and started to stand up coming off the ball--before that when he came in low and strong there was no one lineman on our team that could handle him. Hats off--that kid was good! He definitely was the best we've faced and should play at the next level.
