I heard there was construction on I-35 around Hillsboro. I cannot find any info on TXDOT to support that. All it says is that there is an exit ramp shut down but not I-35.
Any info and help would be appreciated.
I would hate to take a alternate route if I do not have to.

Umm...There's been construction on I-35 between Waco and Dallas now going on 8 years. I drove down here to Lampasas last night and I-35 is as screwed up as ever in both directions.

And screwed up it will stay into the forseeable future.

the interchange between I-35 and where it splits off from I-35W and I-35E is under MAJOR construction in Hillsboro..

It was on the news 2-3 nights ago. We're going through Gatesville, then 84 to Corsicana, and catch I-45 to I-20.

The powers that be in Austin are moving toward toll roads. I-35 is no longer a priority because it is "free."

The Trans-Texas Corridor is the dream project for the future and it'll cost you. Tolls will be collected by the King of Spain, just like the good ol' days 300 years ago.
