This is just the early 2007 version of the same table I've posted for the past 4 or 5 years, but this one is specifically comparing the current group of 3A schools. Even though I expanded it to 25 ranked spots, there are still only 7 programs that made all 10 individual rankings:
Region I: Sweetwater and Gainesville
Region II: Celina
Region III: Bellville and Cameron Yoe
Region IV: Cuero and Port Isabel
The above Region I and II threesome are all relatively new to the 3A classification, whereas the Region III and IV stalwarts have all been hanging out for a couple of decades or longer.
Win totals and rankings were compiled using on-the-field results of the 11-man varsity records of the 174 3A programs that competed in UIL district play in 2007 and includes all games played through the Bidistrict round of the 2007 playoffs. Teams listed in RED are still alive in the playoffs and their totals will change before the end of the season.
The left side of the table is rankings of total combined wins for each of the time windows listed.
The right side of the table is rankings by overall winning percentage of games played within each of the time windows listed.
