Here's the statewide layout showing the 48 remaining playoff teams in both 3A brackets.

Things I noticed:

I didn't measure it, but Liberty Hill and Carthage appear to be the two 2nd round opponents that are the largest distance away from each other. If not, they are giving Seminole and Anthony a run for their money.

The Eastern most school in Texas, the Western most school in Texas and the Southern most school in 3A are all still alive in the 3A playoffs. (Until Perryton lost, we also had the Northern most school in Texas in there too!)

With District 30 getting shutout by District 29... and District 31 getting shutout by District 32, the Valley teams are completely isolated from the rest of the playoff field.

Region I Argyle is further East than Region II Glen Rose.

Region IV Llano is further North than almost half of the Region III schools

I would think that Gonzales and Hidalgo would certainly be in the mix also.

That's what I thought! Almost 300 miles one way! Youch! Thanks for the info!
