The week before Thanksgiving was the Area round in the fight for State the Sinton Pirates battled it out with the Hebbronville Longhorns for the second year in a row in this intense game at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville but the Pirates tied the Longhorns 7-7 but came up short on penatrations.

[Sweetwater Red]

This week twenty years ago Sweetwater beat Vernon 22-14 in
the second round of the 4A playoffs.:thinking: :devil: :D

They went on to beat Canyon 35-14 in the quarter finals before
losing to Rockwall 13-6 in the semis at Amon Carter Stadium. Rockwall
then lost to West Orange Stark 17-7 in the title game. That shoulda
been us playing WOS.:(
