Hopefully around Dallas! I live in Austin and wouldn't mind traveling 3 hours to watch the Lions whoop on the little Ponies! I have Vernon winning this one just like they have in the past!

I thought last years Sweetwater team had the players to make a deep run but stumped in the second round. Vernon will be hard to beat. I dont think SW will be able to stop the Lions. It maybe closer than last yr. though.

Vernon has an awful lot of team speed. Reminds me of Atlanta from 2003 (not quite that fast but closer than we have ever had)


Swater will be tough. Always is. Vernon just caught them last year and this isn't last year. Vernon played a very good game last night, but Perryton did not have a good team. Sorry Rangers, not a knock on heart just talent.

Ya'll knocked out our QB for about 4 weeks in a scrimmage earlier
this year. I hope our O-line will protect him better this time
around.

Our two outside LB's and our two tackles(#85,#81)have consistently put pressure on opposing team QB's. Hopefully they will continue that this week against Sweetwater.

it is if you are also small and we are decent sized. Should be a good game. We run the ball so much it gives teams a chance against us. QB can be the key, if he plays with the heart and determination he did against Graham we could win the whole thing.

We have to do a much better job at stopping the run before we can think about winning the entire thing.

But with that said, our Qb is the best one we have had in 10 years or so. (My opinion)

I wouldnt slay "SLLLOOOOOWWWWWWWWW" maybe just not as fast as last year but i agree..team speed is overated..we had one of the fastest guys in Texas last year along with alot of other speed and look how much good that did for us against vernon

Good point. Perryton had there way with us running the ball up the middle. We couldn't stop that it seems like. Dont know the stats but I'm sure they rushed for lots of yards.

Vernon also had 2 blocked pat's and failed on a two point conversion attempt. Not typical for the Lions.

I really thought Vernon would make some kind of adjustment. Perryton continued to run up the middle with ease in the 2nd half.

The Rangers outgained the Lions 376-328 in total offensive yards. Vernon got one fumble recovery that was returned for a TD and the opening kickoff went for a TD.
Vernon needs to shake this game off on defense and come to play next week. The Rangers QB was also 14-22 for 188 yards.

Comparing a preseason scrimmage and a playoff matchup are not accurate. Vernon will win by at least 20. If they try a couple of those short kickoffs, maybe by 35.
