Wow! Regions 4 and 3 getting the nod from Matthew this year, what a differance a year makes. I know the inevitable "which region is the strongest or which is stronger the north or the south" will eventually creep back into some topics. These are my picks based on what I believe to be the top 4 teams from each region.
Region1 Everman, Sweetwater, Kennedale, and Grahm
Region2 Gainsville, Forney, Gilmer, and Daingerfield
Region3 Bellville, Marlin, Jasper, and Newton
Region4 Burnet, Altair Rice Cons., Cuero, and Lavernia. (no disrespect to Sinton, I still think there could be a Regional Championship rematch)
I would say the strength of region goes in this order, Reg.2, Reg.4, Reg.3 and lastly Reg.1

What do you think?

Well you have confused me.....
I would say the strength of region goes in this order, Reg.2, Reg.4, Reg.3 and lastly Reg.4 So, I guess you are saying Region 4 is the strongest, since you picked them twice??

I'm going to say Region 4 is the strongest.

Texasfootballraings.com gives a slight edge to region 4 over region 2.

Region 2 no question about it. They will show their stuff in the playoffs. I am quite sure that both state champions will come out of this region.

Div 2, Region III: Bellville, Marlin, Newton, Liberty (all arguably Top 10 teams, imho). Throw in Sealy, LaGrange, and Diboll, and that's one heck of a road to State.

I still think this will be Kennedales year to shine in the Semi-Finals, but losing to Bellville at State. Region2 should be represented at State Finals by Gainsville, but will fall short to Burnet. I guess what I am trying to say is that once you get past Bi-District, Region2 will be the most hotly contested due to the parody at the top level within that Region.

What do you think? With the teams you listed for each region, I'd probably put in in this order: Region 3, 1, 2, and then 4. Region 3 and 1 seem awfully close though. I think region 4 is weak with the exception of Burnet, which could win it all. Region 1, would be considerably weaker without Kennedale and Everman. In Region 2 I don't see Forney or Daingerfield as strong as the other two. Region 3 seems strong to me. Bellville has a very good team, Jasper is returning to old form, Newton is probably the weakest team, and they aren't too slouchy, and Marlin is the real question as they seem to be clicking very well lately. But, that's just my take.

Honestly, I think it's pretty much even over all the regions..

In region 1, Everman and Kennedale represent very well

Region 2 - Gainesville and Forney represent as well

Region 3 - Don't know much about them, but i hear Marlin, despite their record, is an extremely good team. Their record was not as good cause they didn't have their RB.

Region 4 - They do have the #1 ranked team in the state, that counts for something right?

Overall i would hafta say (from strongest to not necesarily weak)

Region 2
Region 1
Region 4
Region 3* don't know much about that region

Send the top 10 teams from each region against each other and each region would end up around .500 or so.

I'll probably PO my region, but I feel the greatest depth of good teams lie in Regions 2 and 3, with 3 taking a slight advantage.
